So I tried importing a character I already beat ME2 with (because I was happy with all the decisions) Why is Genesis kicking in on my import?

the stupid genesis means that Major kirrahee dies on virmire DESPITE the save im trying to import having him saved.

I thought Genesis was only for brand new games... why is it coming up when im IMPORTING a save???

First I've heard this but I don't use Genesis. Just the regular import tool that I've "Thankfully" haven't had any issues with. Maybe deleting genesis might help

I've seen this mentioned elsewhere here. Like all the other DLC Genesis becomes part of the game, but unlike the rest it's a part that has to happen before anything else. The only way not to have it is to uninstall it before a playthrough where it's not wanted.

I did not know this. Ugh. I guess it's time to get rid of it and start over before I get any further. My conversation with Mordin didn't reflect his death, though. Is it somewhere else that this has an effect?
