Greetings one and all,
I'm vaguely familiar with the features of the toolset and I've heard that it is plausible to edit saved game files?
The reason I inquire after this is because I've recently downloaded a new mod from dragonagenexus.com in which I can have more options for my PC's hair color, skintone, eye color, etc. I wanted to edit my current character but, I do not know if that is possible. Would I have to start a new character? I'd rather not since I don't want to start from the beginning of the game again. Is it possible to edit where you are or how far you've gone in the game using the toolset?
Thank you.

Well, I assume you made your character with the ingame creator. Unfortunately there is no way for us at the moment to extract and edit the head morph information from savegames.
However what you can do is to either:
-Create a new morph for your character in the toolset and "tell" your savegame to use it from now on. This has the great advantage that you can change the morph whenever you want in the future.
-Or you start a new game, recreate your char with the ingame CC and then copy all the appereance information over to your old savegame.
For both methods there are various threads / tutorials in this forum. I'll try to find the links...

Thank you FdL_Ananas, I appreciate the quick reply and the in depth explanation of what I need to do. So, thank you, again.
Sadly, I tried both methods and it seems to have corrupted the save game file. I think I'm just going to start a new campaign.

Too late now I know but if editing a savegame (in pretty much any game) it's always sensible to make 2 saves. 1 to edit and 1 to fall back on if the editing causes any issues.
