Not happy that they killed off Emily Wong so she could come on the ship.

Ive been pondering about this, is there any reason to tell Diana Allers to get off the ship?  Shes not that critical of a reporter unlike that Khalisah al-Jilani.  Shes worth 5 war asset pts alone plus her interviews if handled at all competently add quite a bit.

Can she get in the way of a romance or something, and then you'd need to remove her?

I would have preffered Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani, or Emily Wong on the Normandy. Diana Allers was awful.
Also, Kalisa is into Asari.

you mean besides the fact that any sort of sexual activity with her would require putting a paper bag over her head?

I've wondered about this as well. There's an option to tell her to get off the ship, sure... but is there ever any reason to use that option?

The better question is "Is there ever any reason *not* to use that option?

Her character model, animation, and acting are pretty good reasons to eject her. But I haven't kicked her out, I just avoid her. And I actually approached the character with an open mind. It turned out, she was just not done well.

I liked Diana Allers, she had a simple role and purpose.

She was inoffensive mostly, and easily forgettable.

The war assets means too little for you to keep the walking IGN advertisement in the game. Kick her out.

Honestly I only talked to her twice... and I really did not care to much.

A reporter on a stealth vessel, the Normandy could be tracked by her fault.

I am pretty sure she abides by whatever protocols are in place on ship and she even gives Shepard veto power on her stories.

She seems like a moron, so I doubt it.

I suppose if Shep is pissed at her after her conflict with a crewman, the mechanic allows you to boot her ass off the Normandy.

She fights with one of the crewmates?

As Javik would say:

That reporter-woman talks too much. You shouldn't thrust such a woman. In my Empire women were only allowed to live on our homeworld bare naked, and they didn't have a voice of their own. Throw her out the airlock!

You will have to elaborate on this, because at no point did she seem moronic or inept.

She has a difference of opinion on how to present a piece, it is very non-essential.  I usually side with her, I don't like silencing the press.

I assume she had a beefier role at one point, and that in earlier script revisions she may indeed have caused some conflict that may have resulted in you wanting to kick her off the ship. As is game mechanics wise, she's nothing but helpful, and the only aspect of her I consider offensive, is that she really, really should not have replaced Emily Wong. At the very LEAST you should have had the option to choose Emily instead of Diana a la Chakwas/Michel. I would have loved to see those metrics.

She does make a pass at you at one point. I'm not sure how it would affect yor LI if you take her up on the offer, because I told her to keep things professional

Kind of a throw away character IMO.

There's no reason what so ever. Other than the satisfaction of being mean to her, if you are into that sort of thing. She basically sits in her quarters, calls you when she wants an interview, and makes a corny attempt at flirting at some point.

I told her to focus on Cerberus in my new replay.
Not sure I like her, on a personal level, only (I'm still with Liara).
But for fun, I think I kick her off. In all the play-throughs, I did get the feeling she's better off somewhere else. I mean, the Normandy is a stealth ship, and the two don't mix together that well.... right?

A better question is why let her on in the first place?

But to answer your question: No, there isn't. Her interviews are fine and she sticks to the conditions you give her. I see no justification to kick her off.

If you kick her off the ship, she dies...

"Tragic news out of the Horsehead Nebula: The Alliance dreadnought SSV Shasta has been destroyed, killing everyone on board. Among the dead, one of our own--ANN reporter Diana Allers, contributor to "Battlespace." We thank the deceased for their sacrifice, and mourn our friend and colleague. Diana left a substantial donation to the University of Milgrom's Rossberg School of Journalism, which ANN will be matching. The veteran reporter may be gone, but her work lives on. For the Alliance News Network, I'm Azad Carter."

So I guess you can kick her off if you really don't like Allers or really love university funding...

There is no objectively good reason in game to kick her off.  She is trivially useful because she can add a bit of points to your war rating.  On the other hand her presence in the game at all was basically pandering to IGN.   It represents a total lack of artistic integrity on the part of Bioware.  On the flip side it also represents a lack of journalistic integrity on the part of IGN.  One of your journalists is getting paid to be in a game your reviewing?  No conflict of interest there.
