If they would have kept the affair scene from the leaked script then she'd serve some purpose as a means to play a sleazeball Shepard but otherwise nope.

She gets a bad rap, and rightfully so... but it's not like shes in your face all the time. Her interviews have some good Paragon and Renegade interrupts.

She deserves to be fed into the trash compactor for taking up residence in Zaeed's room.

For people like me, kicking Diane Allers of the ship meant zip, I just thought it was just some poor quality filler. Until about several weeks after the game release I found out who she was... so she means less then nothing. I most certainly don't visit the smelly armpit of the gaming internet IGN.

She should have remained as a 'concubine' option, much like Kelly in ME2. But after the first fumble, she becomes useless. No point having her stay on the ship otherwise.

Shame you couldn't refuse Allers to take Jilani or something, similar to Chakwas/Michele.

I know you can tell her to get off the ship, I am wondering if there is any reason at all to get rid of her other then... not liking her face? or something pointless like that

Her voice acting is terribad, she represents whatever backroom deals bioware has with ign, and her acting is terribad.

She's a bland character, but relatively harmless, and she doesn't ever really do anything to merit being kicked off. IC, she is useful in that they really need the entire galaxy working together and her interviews with Shepard appear to further that goal, especially since they can help calm people's doubts about the krogan and the geth.

I concluded the whole point getting her on the ship is to kick her off the Normandy.
So go ahead, get her to join the Normandy, complete a mission and then kick her off.
It's hilarious.

No, unless you just hate her and if that's the case don't bother to ask her to sign up in the first place. Originally I turned her down thinking she was going to be a face of steel reporter 2.0 then I decided to suck it up and bring her on thinking I'll be slamming her in the face in no time :) to lighten my mood but it turns out she's very out of the way infact I feel bad for her she's trapped in that room with her bot she seems very bored and lonely she doesn't even walk around the ship.

Need to add, I was reading she would die?
Nope, can't confirm that. In the assets it says she was interviewing on the Normandy, but nothing that she died.

She never leaves her room, probably drinking herself to death judging by all the wine glasses and bottles.

I get the feeling that the other characters (except Samantha) don't like her either, from her comments about Liara and Kaidan. And then her argument about Terra Nova.

Add the bad VA, scary face, and poor fashion sense, and I kind of feel sorry for Diana.

I didn't knew who she was until i saw people making topics here on BSN about her.

I will say that the VA isn't the best and she looked okay. But i kept her around sinds i needed her for the war. She did her Job very good. So no, i wouldn't kick her out, just because something senseless metagaming irrelevant nonsens about "oh no, she works for IGN, i won't have it!" Thoughts.

Too blunt?

"Tragic news out of the Horsehead Nebula: The Alliance dreadnought SSV Shasta has been destroyed, killing everyone on board. Among the dead, one of our own--ANN reporter Diana Allers, contributor to "Battlespace." We thank the deceased for their sacrifice, and mourn our friend and colleague. Diana left a substantial donation to the University of Milgrom's Rossberg School of Journalism, which ANN will be matching. The veteran reporter may be gone, but her work lives on. For the Alliance News Network, I'm Azad Carter."

So I guess you can kick her off if you really don't like Allers or really love university funding...

Is that a real message ingame or did you just make it up on a spot?

Anyways, I only talked to Allers three times during the game and they are rather quick convos compared to many others, so I never really liked or disliked her. The idea of having your own propaganda reporter in ship is actually pretty neat, thought.

It's real...

The war assets means too little for you to keep the walking IGN advertisement in the game. Throw her out the airlock.

Yeah, there was dialogue from Allers saying it could compromise her job and Shepard would say it'd remain a secret.

Of course you get rid of her. For several good reasons.

1) She serves no purposr. If you need her 5 war assets and nominal assest gain throughout the game....something is wrong.

2) As Shep says..." I run a stealth ship...that and reporters dont mix"

3) Her rear looks like it shas been injected with tire sealant.

The third option alone is enough of  a reason.
