No, not that kind of Mama Drama:P.

I was thinking about gifts and it dawned on me that many of the most important gifts evoked memories of the recipients' mothers.  A flower, which reminds the recipient of mother's scent.  A pair of gloves, very much like the ones Mama once had.  A Mother's memento, found and returned to her grateful offspring.  Even a mirror, which brought back not-so-good memories of dear old Mom, still brought forth genuine gratitude from the recipient (and this recipient is definitely not the touchy-feely sort).

I find it interesting how DA used the theme of Mama memories.  Very touching.  I wonder if the gifts would have been as sentimental if they evoked memories of dear old Dad? The closest was an artifact used by someone who was like-a-Dad. Heart-warming.

I guess they had to offset some of those other moms, who are definitely not in the running for Mother of the Year (hello, Flemeth).
