Final Fantasy Crisis Core

Truly, *spoiler* Zack dies in the end *spoiler*, the system basically shuts down one by one, and you can't save him - Shinra caught him and he's shot to death, while the others are searching for him hoping it's not too late..

Now THAT is a bittersweet ending. This just isn't an ending, really, as it doesn't actually end.

I am one of those Retakers who is perfectly happy with Shepard dying since I knew he was going to at the end of the trilogy since the first time I played ME1.

I don't really agree with that. Shepard has nearly died once in his back story (for most combinations, some are two near misses and some are possibly none), he's nearly died once at the end of ME1. He's died once at ME2 and he just came back. Dying at ME3 doesn't seem like it's a requirement.

Some Sheps are tragic heros. I would say the vast majority aren't. Shep doesn't have to be the sort of hero that dies at the end. For some people, it makes sense that he does. For others, it doesn't.

This is the big issue, not everyone saw shpard living, but those who did are even more upset than those of us mad purely due to the general terribleness of the ending.

Besides, Shepard technically survived in my ending, and I still hated it. I'd rather him have died after taking TIM down. Much better ending.

Sry for double post.

I am one of those Retakers who is perfectly happy with Shepard dying since I knew he was going to at the end of the trilogy since the first time I played ME1. Not everyone wants that tho, but what most people seem to agree on is the lack of epicness and consiquence of decisions. I've written a new ending that also has three major decisions, but the do not act like A, B, and C. They are all different and each plays out differently based on prior decisions. This is a rough draft I threw together simply to get feedback out of interest. Obviously none of this with hold any consiquence, ever.

For all its shortcomings, I did manage to capture the epicness of the moment, and the hope for the future. Especially is shepard survives.  If he survives, he gives a speech about hope at the funeral.  If he dies he gets an epic death scene with the whole galaxy mourning his death.

Forwarned, its 2 pages long and possibly a bit difficult to follow all the decisions and factors. This is still under construction.

I like it! My only concern is it might make things a bit difficult for Paragon players - a Renegade character would probably have no problems listening to Anderson and leaving, but my Paragon Shepard? I'm not sure I'd be able to force myself to not use that Interrupt... Granted, maybe that's part of the point, but... I'd think people would prefer to feel sad Anderson sacrificed himself, rather than guilty they let it happen, which is where I'd end up right now. Maybe if the elements were mixed around a little, though? I quite like the dialog for option two under "Did not save AN's LI" - I feel like that really fits Anderson's character; maybe if some elements from that were incorporated into the other sections as well, to make Anderson a bit more persuasive?

This has got to be the most positive endeavour and message to send to Bioware yet! Even better than the Charity Child's Play (I mean come on.... doesn't that send the message that if you make bad endings, people will donate to charity...? I mean, good result in the end that we raised money for a good cause but it's the wrong message to send).

Why not make it a -really- hard ending to get? Why would you even take the choice out?

I'm surprised anyone red it to be honest. Was a bit long. I dont know about the dialogue, but I was simply demonstrating the ending that I play through in the end simply to blot out the horridness that is starchild.
