So again. Will there be proper proof of these cupcakes being delivered to those promised local youth shelters...an not just biowares word...biowares word is worth nothing now.
I'm actually starting to get pissed now. Not that these kids got free cupcakes, but the fact that Bioware could've EASILY told us what they were planning on day 1 of this campaign. Instead they gave us various replies of "YUMMMMM cupcakes."
Bioware you are a disgrace. You trolled us for no reason. This is a ****ty way to treat your fans..just saying.
I wouldnt be as upset if they told us on DAY 1 of the campaign what they were planning to do.
This is PR talk. They had this written up yesterday, just for todays occasion. They knew they wouldn't accept the cupcakes, but they played coy all along. That's what makes me rage.

We collaborated with BioWare to make a lot of kids happy today, and they got our messages. Everybody wins.

I can't believe a lot of you are actually complaining because cupcakes were donated to homeless children. Right now I wouldn't blame Bioware one bit if they just completly ignored anything posted on this message board from now on. Holy crap man, a bunch of self-absorbed spoiled brats on here. Its a frikken GAME for cryin out loud.
If anyone should be donating anything it should be xanax, to all the people that post here.

Seriously. Kids in need got a nice treat (though Bioware may well take credit) and a message WAS sent that goes beyond forum complaints. Mission accomplished.
I say this as someone who truly TRULY despises the ending of ME3 and returned the game as a result. I am really OK with the response and do not think that enmity is called for.
This message IS unprecedented so they HAVE to be getting the message beyond loud and clear.
Keep up the pressure though. Give no indication of acquiescence or acceptance. But retain SOME perspective. Please.

Hi Everyone
Today, we received the 400 cupcakes you collectively sent us through your donations to express your feelings about the endings of Mass Effect 3. We want you to know; we are indeed listening to all fan response and acknowledge your feedback. We appreciate creative and thoughtful attempts like this one.
The gesture certainly gained our attention both with its creativity and deliciousness. However, while we do appreciate that fans were creative in how they expressed their views, after a lot of discussion, we decided ultimately the reason that they were sent was not done in the context of celebrating the work or accomplishment of the Mass Effect 3 team. This is a subtle, but important aspect in determining how to pass the feedback to the team.
BioWare regularly works with many deserving charities, as such it was decided that rather than passing out the cupcakes to staff or wasting good food, to donate them on behalf of our fans to a local Edmonton youth shelter. We know that for the kids that have to use this facility, something as simple as a cupcake is a rare treat and would definitely brighten up their day. Thank you to the fine folks at the local youth shelter for accepting the donation and to the fans who donated the cupcakes.
Please keep providing your feedback on Mass Effect 3, we’re still listening.
Call me a pessimist but I'm just curious based on the format of this post.
Is it implied that if the cupcakes were worshipping or praising the game, how it ended, and the work of the team they would have been kept and devoured and that the only reason they have been given away is because the exact opposite is implied b the fans?
Anyway, if that isn't the case, good! I'm more than happy to see these given to a much better place. If Bioware even considers taking credit (PR wise) for donating these when your Fans paid for all of them, or if IGN and other News Agencies credit Bioware alone for such an act, it WILL NOT go over well.

Chris, i hope you are still reading because that is not entirely true. Did you consider the fact that if the mass effect's, including 3, where not of such high standard and outshining the competition, if the games did not suck us into that magical world so much, we would have never donated, cared this much or would still be here?

As far as I'm concerned, we raised $1,005 to send cupcakes to a youth center. BioWare redirected our troll to a good cause. And really, they WERE trollcakes, so I understand what Chris said about not being able to accept them. If I were a BW employee, I wouldn't really have been able to enjoy them.
I really don't think they intended to shaft us by not accepting them.
We collaborated with BioWare to make a lot of kids happy today. Everybody wins.
The cupcakes were not just sent because people love BioWare they had a subtle message of disapproval.
In the end, everyone wins. Get over it.

Hey Bioware, you know what I find funny?
You're being offered three colours to choose from, and using your own critical thinking you've made your own decision and said "We choose option #4".
Giving Shepard that same choice would go a long way to showing you understand where this went wrong.
QFT.
Regrettably, probably not what they were actually thinking.

People who think BioWare threw away the letters or didn't care about fan feedback are just being mean. I'm sorry but these people spent the last 5 years working on an amazing project which I'm sure they loved and nothing they ever did suggests that they mistreat their fans.
Sometimes I think some people just WANT to be angry.
