PR hates me.

They aren't alone.

I agree with this movement 100%, but comments like this really ruins it for those of us that want to maintain a friendly relationship with Bioware. If you don't, I don't see why you would stay on this forum.

Don't hate them, they still gave you that 99% of ME3 that was great.

Gotta repost this now that this thread has died down:

Hey Bioware, you know what I find funny?

You're being offered three colours to choose from, and using your own critical thinking you've made your own decision and said "We choose option #4".

Giving Shepard that same choice would go a long way to showing you understand where this went wrong.

Reposting this again hoping SOMEONE at Bioware reads it, besides the "End of Line" guy.

Great.... the first time John Epler comes into my thread, and it's to point out that we have a troll in our midst.

Keep it civil people!

What a stupid thing to do. What message is this sending exactly? What exactly is the goal here?
Lie to us, rip us off, insult us with god awful writing and what, we'll send you hundreds of dollars of free snacks?!!
What the ****?!
What's next, someone gonna send them some free blowjobs with "Fix Mass Effect" written on the hookers' foreheads?
That'll show 'em.

I can't imagine Bioware not thinking "Man, we should **** up more often!" after this.

And this is why the Retake Mass Effect movement has a tarnished image.

absolutely no room or respect when anyone has to resort to snide comments with no other goal than to hurt and insult anyone for any reason. Were adults here " or should be more or less" we should act like it. Not even my youngest child would find it acceptable to blow a fuse at anyone, I'd think anybody older would know better too.

Love ya Chris, more sympathy and empathy than most can say ( been through much the same) You all did right by me today, couldn't be happier.

Don't get me wrong I am not painting the whole movement with a brush but this is the ammunition that journalists and outside sources need to paint the group as entitled lunatics.

On the whole actions like the Cupcake Bonanza really do a whole lot of good to show that the fans really just want the best and are dissatisfied with what many feel is a fantastic game and series.

After all the things the fans has done if BioWare doesn't deliver after this point this is just beyond ridiculous.

All threads above about five pages have trolls. It's certainly not indicative of the rest of the people in a thread.

This has been successful on every front. Bioware got the message in a more physical method, they received a lot of fan letters, hungry kids got cupcakes, media attention was brought to our movement, and we demonstrated that it is natural to want a 4th option when the other three don't really fit the circumstances.

Logan, you did really good. Kudos to you.

I can only imagine how the writing team feels about this.  They just didn't get 400 cupcakes.  That is some seriously harsh feedback to recieve.

People are spinning this incorrectly to say we are not listening to "negative feedback" and how bad we are and etcetera.

Wrong.

We did listen. At no time did we try to stop Fuss for making the cupcakes or delivering them (this would be unfair to Fuss and to the fans who sent the cupcakes and a generally dickish thing to do). When the cupcakes reached us, we did not refuse to take them (again, unfair to the people who sent them). I, along with Fernando, Mark and Alistair went down, met with Shadow Wrought, gave him some swag for being brave enough to show up and keep us honest and took them upstairs. We took all of the included messages out of the bags and boxes so we would not lose them (again, cuz we're listening). We did not throw them away, ignore them till they got stale or not use them as what they are, food. We chose not to eat them and gave them to a needy charity.

The message REACHED us. Whether we ate the cupcakes, threw them in teh garbage or donated them to charity is secondary to us getting the message, right? If we had (somehow) frozen time, put them in a display case for all time as a reminder of the message sent by fans, this would have been the same thing.

Us actually eating the cupcakes or not should not have been the issue. The issue was fans creatively sent us a message expressing their love for Mass Effect as a franchise, but dislike over the endings. This message was delivered to us and we got it loud and clear.

Preach it!

We gave you the 3 choices that you gave us in-game. You had only 3 choices. You then chose to do a fourth option that was not part of the choices presented to you. Yet you gave us those choices in-game and told us those 3 choices were all we needed.

Even Bioware does not like being given a choice of only 3 options and chooses another option when the first 3 are not satisfactory. Why is it that Bioware will force the gamer to choose between one of 3 options that are all the same yet will not do the same themselves? Then tell us those 3 endings were great.

Bioware, you really are a hypocrite. We do a gesture of good will and you toss it aside to manipulate it into a PR stunt. Bioware, you have fallen to the Dark side.

I think it is, guys.  Really. We've made our point loud and clear.  To do this just seems so heavy handed at this stage in the game.

Lets wait until PAX and reassess.

Seriously, the irony of BW choosing Option 4 is mindblowing, haha!

For the trolls, man seriously, how can you troll a cupcake thread. Trolling cupcakes? That's like the interwebz equivalent of drowning puppies.

Well done all!

Now who is up for organizing a Marauder Shields cake?
