Even if this cupcake thing fails to have any impact at all, I can get to the end of the end of ME3 and think "Mmmm, cupcakes".

Imagine how awesome it would be if Shepard reached the giant elevator and we find out the Catalyst is actually a giant cupcake.

The cupcake is A LIE.

Haha, admittedly this talk is getting me in the mood to replay Portal. I could go for a delicious Black Forest Cake...

This is the reality of the world, the thought that no good deed goes unrewarded is false.

The thought that a corporation cares about anything other than its profit margin is also false. Now if acting or caring INCREASES the margin then sure they'll act like they do.

Sounds good. Want a cupcake?

........

I should be ashamed of myself for buying someone a cupcake?

wow.

He should be ashamed of himself for trolling a forum and telling other people to be ashamed of themselves instead of volunteering his time for a better cause that could help starving children, etc. He should be ashamed - there are people who don't even have the luxury of having a computer to troll forums on.

See what I did there?! Because NOT spending my money donating for this cause would have TOTALLY helped starving children somewhere....lol. Ignore the ignorant troll, guys.

The cupcakes will be eaten by the developers, not the "corporation". I thought this was pretty damned obvious.

And as for forgiveness, if you forgive someone for something but they didn't ask for it or want it themselves, then it doesn't change their viewpoint. THEY HAVE TO ASK FOR IT, they have to want to repair the relationship, you trying to yourself WILL ALWAYS FAIL, because THEY BLEW IT UP.

Olive branches are extended to reconcile, but if the victim extends an olive branch it makes no rational sense.

Sure.

If you have a problem with this cause, fine, that's your thing. You sent that message across. Now if you would be kind enough to stop trolling - it would be appreciated.

K thx bye :wizard:

FFS why should I be ashamed of myself?! Since when is sending someone a gift considered something to be ashamed of?!

Yes. Sure. This is a "gift".

Sure.

What would you call it?

Do you open your Christmas presents and find messages telling you how horrible you've been in with the gift?

This ain't a gift. This is a message.

BioWare is PART of the corporation now.

The doctors that use their hard earned money to go down to the local cigar bar every month are now VP's of the company, they are PART of EA, BioWare is EA.

Hey, The Razman. Please take it down a notch. What people choose to do with their own money is their own business... unless you want people going over your finances and castigating you for daring to purchase lunch instead of donating to a homeless shelter.

You know this is like the sixth post I have seen from you. We understand you don't like the idea and we respect your opinion. Seriously though why keep coming back and trying to squash our good moods?

To everybody else don't respond to him

First off, to others.

NO ONE IS TROLLING THIS THREAD, people are just really baffled why you would be NICE to the PEOPLE who screwed you over if they AREN'T even SORRY in ANY CAPACITY.

As for why we're here, because we are bewildered and trying to get the message across.

Because being nice goes a long way.

NO IT DOESN'T

PEOPLE WILL SCREW YOU OVER FOR THE SMALLEST OF THINGS. It doesn't matter how nice you will or if you fricken talked them out of suicide, PEOPLE WILL SCREW YOU OVER if it benefits them or they have something better come along. It's not fun, it's not nice, it's not ideal, but it's common, and it's normal and no one gives a **** when they do.

The issue is that if someone screws you over, reinforcing their behavior DOES NOTHING GOOD.

Sounds like someone needs a cupcake.

Indeed.

"Perfect" people who have never done anything wrong themselves have a hard time forgiving anyone else.

A human or a car, hmmmm which one could be more important?

Oh, and the human is also your best friend, that doesn't come by just out of thin air, he must have done something in the past to deserve to be your best friend in the first place, maybe he saved your life or your kids life at some point? But oh no, he stole my car, so **** him!?

Jesus Christ on a pogostick, you gotta find your head, dude.

Wouldn't it be cool if Bioware made an alternate ending. With the crew celebrating victory with CUPCAKES?

You know what I would like bioware to do that. If they can't do one for the me3 ending maybe for a later title.

We have critiziced them to no end. And we will  continue for that matter, because it's a serious issue to us. The critiques are harsh, logical and rational, but nonetheless harsh. Yes, it's an olive branch, because we haven't been conformist about the ending, nor have all cried about it and done nothing more. We have mobilized, we have spoken up, and it is easy to assume that some of the people at BioWare have been a bit upset for our reaction. Justifiable reaction, but it has damages in both ends.

Some of these hypothetical arguments are just plain silly.

As for the people complaining about buying cupcakes, it's best if you ignore them all guys. Any idea always has a few people who critique every idea. They're welcome to do it, but arguing over it is kind of a waste of time on both ends.

Mmm Cupcakes. I love the idea. It's kind. I wish we had thought of it sooner!

My best friend hasn't beat ME3 yet... now I know what I'll do for him. Cupcakes all around!!

(And make sure that troll's cupcake hug is extra sweet, it sounds like he needs it! Maybe we should send him a dozen or so too?)

My post was perfectly within the bounds of debating the point of this and how it's not right and makes no sense.
