Can someone explain to me HOW this is going to get the developers to see and better understand our frustration with the endings?

Well for me it summarizes my feelings. :-) I am not in the camp "I wont buy anything from Bioware ever again bla bla bla..." I still like their games I still apreciate the effort they put into them and want to show them my support but at the same time there are some things I dont like (right now the ME3 ending overshadows everything else). Sending them cupcakes with this not-so-hidden message does show exactly that imo :-P

To those who think this action is premature - it certainly is not. I for one think its an awesome thing to do!

It probably won't, but it's just too hilarious an opportunity to pass up.

Basically, it's our way of saying "Listen Bioware, we hate the endings, but we love you, so have some cupcakes and think on it".

what this would say to me if I ran BioWare is these people have money to burn so why not strike while the iron is hot and announce some ending DLC and get some of that money in BioWare's pocket? At this point, I think most of us would be willing to buy the endings we were promised....i.e. ones where our decisions actually mattered.

What is the downside? People might demand different endings in the future? please, they are doing that now and it hasn't even happened yet.

You are wasting opportunity for profit here BioWare......not to mention winning back some of your fanbase.

Pretty sure you'll be seeing some cupcakes, the order is already in... Now whether you get a peice of Marauder Shields cake is still up to debate.

There's two different reasons people seem to be opposed to it. Some feel it's "rewarding" them for failure (which I consider silly ... a nice gesture from fans would encourage Bioware to listen. And in my opinion they already listen anyway, more than most developers).

Some others, like me, feel it's extremely disheartening to see the positive energy from the Retake movement diverted from charitable causes towards (what we can all hopefully respectful agree is) a frivilous activity such as sending cupcakes. It's people's choice what they do with they money, obviously. But the money is being generated from the energy surrounding the fanbase right now, and I liked seeing it go towards good causes. This feels like a diversion away from that.

But that's just my opinion. Carry on with the cupcake drive, hope it goes well.

I think we all know that but good clarification for those who do not. Regardless of what happens it would be hilarious if some upcoming game gave us an easter egg about this. That being said sending cupcakes can't hurt our chances either
