Very mature - now you think someone should actually punch Dave? Thanks to people like you, I'm starting to think that this whole thing is roughly equivalent to the abuser (aka those fans who have actually been acting in a vile manner) in a relationship trying to apologize to the one that they supposedly "love" (aka BioWare) after repeatedly subjecting them to verbal abuse/attempting to inflict as much pain as possible.

Ignoring an opinion you disagree with is fine, too. Just as long as you don't bloody attack him for no reason.

I don't necessarily agree with Dave on all those points. I do think the cupcake thing is silly if you put an angry message on it, though. Plain cupcakes have the same message but in a nicer way. Still, I respect his opinion and don't be a rude poo poo to him.

I promise you, I swear on my parents and my siblings life, that I am just doing this for the fun of it, and as a token of good will. I sincerely believe the others in this thread feel the same way, we are under no delusions that BioWare might in fact not care what the hell we say or feel. Sometimes you just want to do something else than spew hatred ALL DAY LONG. I was pissed myself, but I can hardly be pissed about things all the time, can I? Now, please leave if you don't agree or think we have "intentions" of getting our endings. Frankly, I don't care anymore, I', gonna start playing The Witcher as soon as my present thesis is done.

And that's cool. You can have fun and all, as long as you don't start attacking people for having a different opinions.

I hate to agree, but people who act like that really make it difficult on everyone else.

The entire goal of the charity cupcakes is beyond silly, everybody has purchased the game already and rather than complain about it like regular people, they'd rather throw more money away and compensate those they feel cheated by. The entire purpose of the charity cupcakes is simply so people can go "OH HEY, LOOK! WE MADE CUPCAKES! WE DESERVE GOOD ENDINGS", just like people claimed the high ground when the charity was up.

This entire thing sickens me because you're not doing it to reward BioWare's staff or saying "oh hey, good work on the game", you're all doing it to get your petty ending vendetta out and more aware and achieving nothing but making it look more and more desperate. We get it, everybody gets it, you all hate the endings.

If you made any less sense than you already don't, I would award you wil the Nobel Peace prize for malarkey.

Yeah, that wasn't meant to be funny - it was more like an apt description of how some people in the forums have been behaving. That includes this Geirahod who seems to think telling someone to DIAF through the passive-aggressive signature quoting and/or punching them is okay.

Na, if they were really protesting the endings and the marketing which led to them... well, they'd bake the cupcakes and constantly talk about them, get the developers hyped for them and when they finally ship them over, the cupcake box is opened only to have pictures of cupcakes within.

Clearly you missed all the "Let's ignore this dispute and talk about cupcakes!" posts. It's the equivalent of burying one's head in the sand. That's not ok. You can't just say "But I made cupcakes and donated to charity so I can get away with anything!"

This thread, just as Stanley Woo said, is not the place to confront one another and debate. This thread is made for the devs with a snarky message from the community that loves it. Whether you agree or disagree is off-topic and there are plenty of other threads raging with this debate. Lets stay positive here. Everyone loves cupcakes =)
