I've been lurking on these forums for a while now and this is the first topic I'll "contribute" to.

What amuses me to no end is how many Bioware replies this thread has collected.

Sixteen in a single day, from several Bioware reps.

Meanwhile the FACE IMPORT FAILURE thread merited only 2 replies from Mr Priestly in 21 days. That's two replies in three weeks, folks. 6141 posts, 104902 reads, two replies.

Free food is obviously much more important than thousands of disgruntled fans.

And of course, it's much easier to perceive customer frustration with a defective product as a lighthearted joke.

Otherwise, great initiative guys.

I'd "chip in", but frankly the idea of sending them free cakes does not quite appeal to me personally at this point.

Maybe after the patch (whenever that may be).

@Malcoix, they already found a solution and are working it into a patch, no ETA for release as of yet. How much more do you want? Can't we have a thread on-topic?

No thread can stay on-top.

Mr. Preistly is the community manager and he makes those threads. He responds to those threads. That face import thread he has edited it as so needed so he has responded many times.

I take the replies in this thread from those Devs as good natured.

Malcoix's reply is evidence of why they should not make a reply to the other issues. Because irregardless of their role in the company it WILL be taken as a official response BY the whole company and a few "fans" will run with it, twist it, contort whatever is said to meet their own wants.

A thread about cupcakes and you got someone trying to twist it... do I need more proof of why those with a BioWare tag need be carefull of wait they say?

Lighten up, my friend.  Let's not try and discourage Bioware from interacting with their fans. Them talking to us on here for fun is not a bad thing. When they have any technical updates they'll put out a statement. I was under the impression that they're working on a patch for the issue anyway. Bioware has a lot of employees and they don't work 24/7. If they use their free time to talk to fans then we should appreciate that.

Can we figure out who at EA decides the development deadlines for Bioware and cupcake the living hell out of them until they give Bioware 3 yrs minimum to create future Mass Effect/Dragon Age games?
