I'd guess that I received my Widow around the 10th-20th spectre, but had it rank X around 60th. Oddly enough it was my first capped weapon even before the basic gear. Recall I got it 4-5 times in a row one day. However, I have yet to find my trusty Black Widow.

Every time I buy a spectre pack all I got is either an arc pistol upgrade or character. The game just hates me.

I think I have either the Widow II or III, only buying like 10 specter packs. Didn't buy too many since I figured it would be better to just buy lots of recruit first. Now I'm working on veterans, so I'm glad they released the premium packs. Getting a rare about 1/3 premium vet packs though. Got the valiant in the commendation pack

Black Widow after about 30 Spectre Packs...haven't had one since. I have all other weapons (common/uncommon/rares) at X, except the Locust and N7s.

I have every N7/Ultra Rare weapon except for the Paladin...I even have a Wraith/Scorpion/Javelin all at 3x, but no Paladin. Saber, Scorpion, Talon, etc., all at 1x...dying for another Saber upgrade but I haven't gotten one since the 2nd or 3rd Spectre pack I ever got. It's all luck....i've been luckier than most, but i also have friend that got 3 N7 weapons in 4 Spectre packs before....

I also used the method of maxing out everything from Recruit and Vet packs before moving on to Spectre packs, which really helped.

The Widow 1 I unlocked fairly early on I think, but the Mantis X is better anway. I don't even have the Black Widow even though I've played quite a bit (n7 rating of 389). Of the ultra rare weapons I've only unlocked the Paladin, which I got in my first spectre pack.

When (if?) the store problems are finally worked out I will spend the 1,6 million credits I've got in the bank. Maybe then my luck will change..

Widow IV or V can't remember....took about 30 Vet packs and 25 specter packs.

Unlocked my BW in about pack 30 or so.
I'm past 100 specter packs now, and way more on the other packs, yet I'm still missing Paladin and the normal widow, and my Carni is still only lv1 (wtf is up with that?)

 I have N7 around 150 and no Widow. Also the only character I am missing is the Asari adept while the Turain sentinel which is my least favourite character was the first one to be maxed out (in terms of flair). The store is designed to make you buy stuff with real money, cuz doing that apparently increases chaces of getting something new, as well as increases chances of getting rare items. Out of around 30 packs I have bought so far at least 20 contained characters card for classes I had already unlocked and maxed out. The other 10 were good though, and the Premium Veteran pack offers good choices. Once you get a weapon, chances of you getting upgrades for it will be increased, however that obviously means chances of you getting a new weapon will go down.

Got a BW on my first Spectre pack. I'm now at N7 99 rating, I've opened around 50 Spectre packs total, and have a BW 3. I've also gotten all of the character cards, as well as the Scorpian, Paladin, Saber, and Talon, (but they're all at level 1 still).

The Salarian Infiltrator was the hardest character card to get - and it was also the one I had wanted the most.

Probably around 30 packs to get the first black widow. Then a looong stint of maybe 40 more, and then I got BW ranks 2 and 3 in one day, from about 4 packs.

Now, I'm 150-200 packs in. Widow is at X (as are Carnifex, Geth Plasma, Graal, and others). Black Widow is still at 'I', as are my Paladin and Saber.

No other N7 unlocks, and most of my rares are maxed now. Nine times out of ten, I get character cards in my spectre packs now. For classes with all the appearance options unlocked. That are level 20. It's annoying.

same for me except I don't yet have a Paladin.

Got Black Widow first after a couple days of playing most Gold(75k credits) & some Silver(30k credits) & been playing hours  every day since release,

You have to farm Gold or Silver to get enough credits to get enough ...got a Widow a week after that, got Widow X after 2 weeks playing everyday
but
haven't since got any Black Widows but just got a Javelin tonight (too bad a Widow X outperforms a Javlin 1 & Black Widow 1).

Really want a Paladin --a Paladin1 outperforms a Carnifex X

Got too many shotguns & char unlocks

Got the Widow quite early, maybe in the 20. Spectre pack, the Black Widow on the other hand took me a few hundred Spectre packs.
I got the Widow X (and many other gold weapons at X) before i got the Black Widow I.

Oh and to the guy saying Paladin I>Carnifex X: what did you smoke? Carnifex X does 345 damage, Paladin 1 does 351 but only holds 4 rounds and it is 50% heavier. How is the Paladin I better?

I spent about 5 million credits until I got Black Widow. I had Widow 9 by the time I got Black Widow.
