Well looking at the pictire Bioware gave us her skin looks white. Maybe just a tiny bit of blue/purple but just pale, for the mst part.

I like the pic bioware came up with. Its less pale for one. I mean I guess if you live in a suit you are pale, I just never imagined tali being so pale xD. I always thought when compared to humans she would either be racially ambiguious or simply imcomparable to humans like liara's blue hue

I think alot of it had to do with her voice being so unorthodox.

It's also my favorite Tali, I would have used it. Hell Bioware, couldn't you just give the girl a good bit of money and use this instead of a bull****ty stock photo - you didn't even get the hands right!

Just again to quote myself to get people actually look at the poor quality of the stock photoshop.

I was kinda disturbed when I first read the thread title, knowing BSN and all.

To be clear, even if I am unhappy with the quarians being a human, I can accept that if bioware absolutely wants it to stay that way. I just feel that if they were so lazy as to take a public domain photo and do a quick edit in photoshop, that there is a chance they didn't really commit to the quarian design either.

By hoping for a retcon, I am hoping they will spend more than five minutes on the design. Even if they keep it "rubber mask" human, at least flesh it out so they are more than humans with funky hands and lines on their face.

Realisticly,  they probably should be kinda similar to Turians, as the rest of the body is similar and the biology. I can see why they didn't do that, as it would make the romance kinda creepy.

I can sort of see why they did it the way they did. There wasn't a whole lot of opportunity to see her face, so they didn't want to spend the time to do a full face model(which is alot of work).

Did they ever explain why Quarian's don't have clear facemasks?

I don't mind it, but to be fair someone some time ago made a test with pictures accounting for refraction and the colour of Tali's mask (purple)...
He basically proved that in order to "see" her face through the mask like we do, she would have to be pretty dark skinned (like deep grey/almost black), because lighter colours would not be seen through the purple colour of the mask... So, if anything, she'd probably have to have dark skin and very light (white probably as we don't see them at all) "eyebrows", "browlines" and "hair", I like that interpretation too...
I wonder how the canon face would look with colours flipped like that...

Really beautiful rendition of the "stocked" Tali used by Bioware. I don't mind Tali looking like that at all, human-like or not.

OK. That? That is awesome.

I feel much better about the stock Tali now. I wonder how easy it'd be to mod this into the actual game instead of the photoshopped pic?

Why are all the female alien - LI or crewmates so human? I romanced Garrus and still love him, don't care about the way he looks.

Are men that shallow? There are enough space-boobs/ space-models in the game already.

Batarians also canonically have fur on their heads (I believe it's mentioned in the books), just not in the games, and frankly I don't know why there is such a divergence... :/

I can't speak for all the Talimancers, but actually, I've seen several don't like it all that much, or are unconvinced, but several I talked to also seem to understand there's (at least for now) bigger concerns in the game than Tali's depiction...

Even if i love Tali i dont really care about all this stuff for her official face. I wasnt expected from BW to let us see it so i take the picture like a bonus for some Talimancer who could try to kill them if they didn't.

The face of my Tali is mine since ME1. And she's by far more cute than your's.
