I am (or was) twelve hours into my Insanity run with nearly 4,000 kills and have been hit with the now-legendary stat reset debacle.  Needless to say, I am not pleased.  Again.  I have been trying to research why this is happening so I can (hopefully) avoid it in the future.   I can say that I may not have exited to the menu when leaving multiplayer (as some believe this may be the cause), my awarded avatar items have been glitched from the start (another theory I've seen out there) and I did load a save from my previous runthrough before returning to my insanity one (another half-baked theory).  What I do know is that when I started the game tonight, it was as if I had never played the game before (EA Origin sign-in prompts, Kinect messages, no resume game, no subtitles).  Has anyone seen anything concrete as to why this is happening?  Is there any word from BioWare?  Most importantly, why do I keep playing this game?

Got a feeling you lucked out in a way. The corruption of part of the profile led some of us to get locked out of the game completely... all due to a corrupted file. When we removed the corrupted file we lost some of the scores (like kill count) but got back in. I think that file getting corrupted is actually the same problem and the system just rebuilt it and started you from scratch.

Here's a thread about this from over a week ago that has some detail about what is causing the problem. One thing, however, that is sadly absent is any kind of response from BioWare about it.

This is also stopping me from getting the stats back if I already have the achievements I really hope this gets sorted because I wish to max out the achievements
