a poll of 23k germans and whiners win by 72%?  That's worse than America. These 'polls' everyone keeps reffering to are not helping your 'cause' sure the percentage is high, but the poll voters are low. too low to make a difference.

23k gamers to represent a country? to represent sales? that's ****** poor low.

23k plus Retake's 52,000 (global) (assuming no germans are part of Retake)  = 75,000 whiners

75,000 whiners pretending to be the majority of the gamers who purchased Mass Effect 3. Pretending to represent 91% of the sales.

Just because you win polls you passed around doesn't mean anything. Numbers do. truth is people who enjoy games don't search around the internet for polls and forums to whine or talk about it. haters do, trolls do, whiners do. You guys have been finding articles, websites, reviews, and polls from websites never heard of like gamefront... forbes what gamer actually reads that crap? lol. Angry Joe? this is a random nobody who got destroyed by Geoff Keightly suddenly he's your hero.

I think all the space magic hold the line group needs an IQ test, color me impressed if they score higher than 80.

Well, according to VGCharts, these are the sales figures for ME3 in Germany:

10,738
61,873
2

So, 61k after two weeks. If that is truem than one third of the players took that poll....

Hilarious.

Most "official" polls and surveys only count a few hundred to a few thousand people and use that sample to reflect all of society.

Our polls have tens of thousands. From multiple countries.

Germany will not submit to Bioware's current way of dealing with customers and fans.

Promising and advertising facts, that turned out to be (mostly) lies. Claiming to be "listening" to their fans, which turned out to be another mockery, resulting in a "clarity" and "closure" DLC coming up on April.

We will keep fighting, and we will hold the line!

It's called "sample size", mate. When statistics people conduct opinion polls to see how elections will turn out, they tend to use about a thousand or two thousand people to represent millions. And this usually turns out quite accurate as well.

While most polls will likely be kind of unbalanced due to, indeed, enraged people being more likely to take to the internet than satisfied people, the negative response is still overwhelming. I doubt that the 90% of people being ant-ending won't hold up when you take the entire customer-base, but the percentage of people who dislike the ending will still be rather big.

Even if it's 'just' 10-15%, if I were a developer/publisher I would scratch my head and wonder how I can solve this problem. It's still a substantial amount of sales that may not be there when you try to sell DLC or a new game.

Well, it's not surprising.  However, I will say interesting.  After reading the depth of the poll in question and the fact I have plenty of friends who would never waste time on forums even speaking about this who are very much, feeling the very same way.

The Problem with the Poll is, that you don't know who voted. The two biggest groups (together 91,7%) are in the "it should be changed if the fans want it" and "it shouldn't be changed because it's Biowares artistic vision" pile. The remaining 8,3% are in the "Yes, i hated the ending" and "no, i liked the ending" groups.

So based on that, one could argue that 91,7% of the people who voted there haven't played the game.

The other interesting thing, the Poll specifically mentions "The ending", so apparently wether people liked it or not, the legend of the 16 endings has been destroyed.
