For people living in a country where their mother language is not yet supported by ME3 Kinect functionality, for example Japan, by default the feature for audio dialogue is turned off. The option is accessible under the single player mode, but not multiplayer mode or the main menu.

If a user plays multiplayer game without manually turning on this single player option and change it to "North America" for example, even if the user's settings in xbox are all fine for voice input, and in the MP lobby there is a green circle next to the user's gametag meaning the user can use audio, but actually the user's mic will not be able to return the voice to ME3 server. Therefore, even though it appears that the squadmembers should be able to hear the user, the squadmembers won't hear him at all.

This is not a problem for American players but can happen to many Asian players who did not change the default setting in single player mode. Well, for example I played MP much more than SP therefore I was an idiot for several days, helping/alarming squadmembers for several days and felt why people kept ignoring what I said, while later found out that it's due to this small bug. Once I changed the kinect option to "North America", people can hear me.
