Just wondering since my inventory is full and I do not have enough to buy a backpack yet is there a way to store items somewhere? Or maybe give them to other characters? I just hate having to pass up so much stuff, Also I guess you have to transfer an item to junk in order to sell it correct?

1: sell stuff and get some gold, buy a backpack
2: In the "projects" area of this board( 2nd tab top left of this page), there is a mod that puts a storage chest in your camp. Works great!
3: Get(buy) Warden's Keep DLC-it adds  a storage chest there when you complete the quest.

To sell, find a vendor and talk with him/her. You just drag the item you want to sell from you inventory screen to the vendor's  and money is transferred to you. The opposite way if you are buying stuff.

1) If you are in Ostagar but have not yet gone to the woods, check with the Quartermaster. You should have enough to buy a backpack if you sell just about everything else. The pack costs 57s and gives you 10 extra slots.

2) If you're in Ostagar and have already gone to the woods, you can still check with the Quartermaster. The catch is, if you bought the pack BEFORE going to the woods, you could now pick up a second, equally cheap bag.

3) If you're already well past that point, you'll have to start inventory juggling. If you do not have the DLC that includes a storage chest, it will be more difficult (I don't have it either, so I know how tough life without it is). One tip is to store extra unused/unneeded weapons and ammo on your other characters in their 2nd weapons slots. Just doing that can free up anywhere from 6 to 12 spots. As far as selling, you don't need to move an item to Junk to sell it. Instead, when you are at a merchant, highlight the item on YOUR side of inventory and click it. It'll be sold.

Remember, as long as you have not closed the merchant window, you can buy-back the item for the same amount you sold it for (in case you sold by accident). If you close the window, you can still buy-back the item -- you just have to pay regular prices (consider it retailer mark-up). In other words, that item you just mistakenly sold for 50s will cost you 3g to buy back (made-up numbers for illustration purposes).

"Junk" is another category altogether. You move items to Junk when you want to destroy them. Let's say you see the Ultimate Sword but you have no room. Move a Meager Sword to Junk. Go to your Junk page, highlight the Meager Sword and opt to destroy it.

Hope this helps. By the way, this is for the 360 version. I assume it's similar for PC or PS3 but I can't guarantee it.

Oh, and if you miss those cheapo bags, the prices ratchet up to 6g and more. Ouch!

Great Post, Wish I would have been able to go the cheap route, I am well past that point oh well. Can you do the Storage chest mod on the 360 or is that just for the PC guys?

Yeah, the mod is for PC only. Always. on the 360 get the DLC Soldier's Peak. it gives you 2 new vendors, a new buff for your char. a decent set of armor for a warrior, and a storage chest. But the very, very first thing I do is hit the quartermaster, buy the first backpack and sell whatever I grabbed in my origin start. After the Korkari wilds, go back to the quartermaster. Buy all backpacks. Sell everything you're not using. Just sell it somewhere you can rebuy it if you aren't sure. Now I know...

Oh, the best sword in the game comes from that upgrade too...the Starfang sword. You just gotta get a meteor hit. Some folks say that it's an iffy thing. I've gotten it all 4 times. Ymmv.

Careful with that chest mod I lost everything that I had in the chest, and I have no other mods running nor do I use command console it just bugged on me.

There have been reports of a few people losing items, there is a update I am trying it out now but don't put anything in the chest if your worried about losing it. Its a great mod just needs a tweak or two.
