Because it's often wrong, sometimes it's inadequate, and sometimes (in skill descriptions) tottally irrelevant or missleading.
If you do not wish to unlock English subtitles for russian version of the game, at least do a thing worthy of a decent developer - make russian text as smooth and polished as the english one!
Any plans to fix russian translation?

There are fan patches to unlock the english text, which are not considered hacking (since they simply make Origin see your version as the multilanguage one instead of the russian-only one).
Search for "Mass Effect 3 International Language Pack", it's about 12 mb in size.
And I bet they will never fix the russian translation because they never did for the previous two games, and both of those were horrible too. The "improvement" of the "Gold" re-release was as questionable as the voice actor casting choices =)

Это суровая неизлечимая действительность - адекватный бюджет на переводы из всех игр ЕА только у Симсов и это в ближайшую тысячу лет вряд ли изменится.
Judging from the credits, the translation was outsourced anyway, so... ever heard of those "Levsha Games"?

Friend of mine bought Russian version of the game (because it was cheaper) and he changed it into English one and his account was blocked. But he don't know yet if it was because he changed language version - he is still waiting for an answer form EA support.

Judging by the quality of the translation, it was compleeted by 20 year old female students of mediocre abilities and skills, and without any knowledge of Masseffect universe or acquaintance with previous games. And it's a shame for suh a big company to demonstrate such a poor and unacceptable quality of work, eve if it was outsorced.
А "Прибор "Стража" это вообще пять баллов, это только специально можно было написать...

I didn't find a proper thread for the translation issues, guide me if you will.
But I couldn't pass the latest improvements for russian localization you implied lately. I didn't figure out when exactly, but that was good, and I'd like to notice it.
En-speking auditory would be shocked with several 'reversal translations' I'm sure. And I'd like to post my corrections. Just show me where.
