To me its a bit audacious to attack BW, only barely excusable if you think the game wasn't worth the price you paid for it.

Apologize to BioWare? Right. I bet you would ask Caesar to apologize to Brutus for being stabbed in the back, too.

blunt, but to the point.

I've neither said nor written anything I ought to apologize for. They have.

Technically, we don't know that. At the time, S.P.Q.R. was the major "Templar" faction in Rome. Brutus himself was indeed an assassin, but Caesar, far as the Romulus scrolls tell us, was just a power hungry ruler, one whom Brutus realized that he was obligated to remove. The wiki does hint that Caesar may have been supported by Templars, though he himself may not have known it.

I don't feel that I have done anything to apologise for that I haven't apologized for already.

Bioware is reaping the consequences of it's choices that's all.

I don't think anyone should apologize for wanting change or feeling dissatisfied. However, I think we -- as a collective group -- should apologize to BioWare for those individuals who've attacked, insulted or otherwise tried to demean BioWare and its employees.

Acting like a rabid mob won't solve anything and if nothing else, showing that you aren't in agreement with those who attack BioWare makes you seem like a sensible individual. The last person any company will listen to is a raving lunatic, which unfortunately, some have ans acted like recently.

I don't think you should all apologize, but I do think you all need to stop whining about it. Do you all "Know" how foolish or stupid you look every time one of you says "hold the line"? It's like you all believe you're fighting for something important, When it all boils down to it, you all are just complaining. Say I was DaVinci, I wouldn't repaint the Mona Lisa because you all petitioned she should have bigger knockers. Think that's an adequate comparison to the @sses a lot of protesters resemble

I won't apologize and I don't expect them to do the same. They did their job....only. They claim that their game is an art and that is what they should apologize for. They should apologize that they didn't put passion in it. They stopped caring at the last moment and game itself shows that. That is not acceptable IMO. They can't expect us to be happy about game which isn't as good as it could be...and should be. Sadly they lost their personality

This is a reminder that, regardless of what you think of Mass Effect 3 or BioWare, company bashing, disrespect towards any of our developers or staff, and insults are not permitted in our community. Like us or not, we can disagree with each other without resorting to childish behaviour. You are free to criticize and voice your opinions, but please do so constructively. Your freedom to express yourself in our forums should not be used as an excuse to hate, swear, or act like a jerkface.

That said, I appreciate all of your comments and you enthusiasm for the Mass Effect franchise. Thank you.

I'm not wearing blinders.  I refuse to join in on this mass hysteria.  And I am completely opposed to the idea of "Taking Back Mass Effect."  As a writer myself, I'll tell you one thing with upmost certainty.  Readers DO NOT DICTATE A STORY.  And writers who let them....are often times considered hacks.  The idea is to challenge a readership. Do you want your readers to be happy? Everyone does.  And it's disappointing when they're not.    But do you go against your vision? Lie to yourself?  Are video games an exception to the rule?  Is that a good thing or a bad thing?  I know how I feel about.  But, as I said before, if the mob demands a new ending, and Bioware is fine with giving it to them...well, I can live it.  I may not like it, but unlike most  people on this board, I'll let Bioware decide what to do with this hysteria.  And I also believe this....people still won't like the "new" ending.  I'd be willing to make a wager on it....

Sure, some people are demanding a new ending entirely, but most of the takeback movement are asking for the ending to:

1. Not contain so many blatant plot holes.
2. Deliver on the promise of multiple and diverse endings, not ABC colour choice.

For a title that built itself on the idea of player choice and the user driving the narrative, the endings were an insult to the hundreds of hours we invested.

Keep the current endings, tidy them up so there are no horrible story breaking plotholes, and then add some more so that the promise of all the choices we made during the three games producing "wildly different endings" can ring true.

I disagree with the apology theory. When you put yourself in the public eye, you are opening yourself up to scrutiny and by extension "hate mail." Dealing with classless trolls is part and parcel of being in the public eye.
Politicians, actors, writers, ecetera all have to deal with it, game company execs should be no different.

When you publicly make claims that aren't true, people are going to feel betrayed, hurt, and react in irrational ways. We were promised a game that would be shaped by the decisions we made. We were promised a game where the ending would be different based on the choices we made. What we received was completely different. None of those promises were fulfilled. All those decisions we made over three games, a hundred or so hours of game-play, amounted to very little. And if you don't like multiplayer, you're just screwed because then your decisions mean zero - your Shepard can't even breathe after destroying the Reapers.

All of that doesn't excuse the behavoir of certain individuals who feel the need to attack those involved in creating an overall great game. There's all ready too much hatred in world. However, we can't expect an apology when it happens because the attacks aren't made by rational people, or at least people in their rational mind at the time. Irrational people don't generally apologize or take responsibility for their actions. And at least in these forums, there are repercussions for such behavoir. As per the site rules, these people should be banned, I am not sure who would be left to apologize. And making an apology on behalf of those who have no intention of doing so themselves amounts to nothing and only alleviates the misplaced guilt of those who had nothing to do with the behavoir in the first place. So no apology is necessary or warranted.

I don't think this thread is getting anybody anywhere... I doubt they're going to respond in a way that anybody wants with a thread like this... It seems really childish.

Lets focus on giving useful, reasonably polite feedback Bioware can choose to use if they want...

Apologize for what? They released a game when you couldn't import your character correctly if you played the first two game. Honestly that's more of an utter sin than the ending could ever be in my opinion. How do you release a game with that issue?

So uh, NO!

Why should I apollogize for what other people are doing? Granted it's painting us all in a bad light as gamers, but I haven't been bashing the company like some have been doing. :P Just been voicing my concerns for the trilogy.
