From everything I've learnt about the From Ashes DLC it appears to me that this content is something that should have been in the final game but was cut so that it could be sold seprately and while I can understand EA need to make money it doesn't go down so well with me personally; if feels to me like EA are just exploiting customers like me who are deeply invested in the series.
I think asking 800 points for what is essentially 25 minutes of game play is abit greedy there for is there any chance that the points would go on sale?

Yes, it should have been in the final game but in no way is it 25 minutes of gameplay. It's a LOT more than that. You get at least 3 hours given the conversations, the actual mission and all the tiny extra things (like the appearance kit and Particle beam). I got the N7 DDE so I'm not bothered. But I think that it's definitely worth the 800 points and either way, BW points never go on sale. Go for it if you like Mass effect and the story behind it. But there isn't going to be a sale on BW points or the actual pack any time soon.
