I agree with the op on this one. I mean im not asking for a porno but a little side nudity isnt bad definitly not for an M rated game. I loved Liara's romance scene in ME 3 it was well done a brought a lot of emotion to the scene while being visually pleasing.
As for the fox review for ME1 that really doesnt matter anymore. Without the amount of nudity in videogames now and days it wouldnt even be an issue. Bioware has always marketed the game as mature so as long as there is a M on the box they dont have to limit themselves. What kids play should be monitored by there parents.

That being said, taking the bra off a killed enemy is already *a bit* perverted in itself.

Not if it sells for quite a bit of money and not if it's actually a pretty good protective armor.

That's the Fallout universe for you.

Maybe the entire Fallout universe is perverted? post-apocalyptic dystopias tend to be.

The Fallout universe isn't THAT perverted. It won't let me romance a ghoul but then again...there is FISTO...x.x

It makes me laugh how none of you get why Traynor was in the shower with her underwear on.

She was using Shepards shower and wanted to talk to Shepard while she was using it so she had to keep the door open so for the sake of modesty kept her underwear on. Then when Shepard went in it was spontaneous. Shepard then took off her clothes after the camera panned away.

They put their underwear back on afterwards as they were just relaxing and had been walking from the bed to get a drink or something. A lot of people don't feel comfortable walking about their place naked.

Only in Vegas.

But in Fallout 3, if you have the "child at heart" ability, you can enter a pretty long conversation about looking at female butts with a  little boy.

Interesting what it says about our society. Sensuality and sexuality which are key parts of most peoples every day lives is a big NO-NO, while shooting people in the head is fine.

no it wasent she wanted sheppard to join her hinting at it all the time then sounds massivly disapointed if you dont take the hint.

and youd get something to use as a shower curtain or something if you just wanted to talk

nah, i don't buy that. Remove the unnecessary love interest clap-trap and replace it with more dialouge and you get the same thing. Add to that, the time allocated to the love scence would be better used adding to other areas of the story or giving us 5 more minutes of actual game play would be better still.

whether i romance someone or not makes absolutley no difference to my game. I don't see what it adds. Seriously i don't. It's just there to get more $$$$$$ and free advertising.

Have i missed something regarding the lore? as far as i can see, you get the lore without doing the whole LI malarkey, so i dunno what you mean with the lore part of your argument.

I dont know about you and the men/women you date but the kinds of things i talk about with the women i do i wouldnt with a friend or someone who was just my superior officer, people open up more when you are in a relationship with them and that is how some... not all but some of the relationships in mass effect have been handled.

take Jack for instance, alot of people hated her character and had their minds changed when going through the romance with her, she opens up between that and her loyalty mission and you see just how messed up she is inside.

You wouldnt get the same relationship between them if they wernt love interests, having a love interest in the game opens up quite a lot of new dialogue especially in masseffect 2 and the same dialogue wouldnt feel the same if it wasent between supposed lovers.

and as far as lore goes you learn a fair amount about the other races by taking one as a love interest, you cant see at all just how much detail has gone into some aspects with the quarians without dating tali for example and she would have had any reason to go into things like Quarian mating rituals and things like that f there wasent a chance with her sleeping with sheppard.

same for Liara, why would she have explained how asari have sex if she wasent doing it as she was at the time as precursor to the actual relationship with sheppard.

there is just a level of understanding of the details to races you cant find in the game without romancing one of them and if bioware had removed it it wouldnt have been just a lost bit of advertising it would have lost a lot of the games charm that made it great and pushed it a massive step closer to being just a third person shooter

They've got enough bad publicity with the ending and the other concerns over the game. They don't need FOX and the christian mothers' league to go tearing it down because it has a couple of butts.

As opposed to the ending discussion, this actually could have acted as advertising.

And last time I checked, christian mothers shouldn't pick up the game in the first place because of the rating.

For all those blaming Fox for the lack of nudity in ME3, keep in mind that Liara (whom, as I understand, Fox took issue with) is exempt from the mandatory Alliance standard issue black bra and panties.

Bioware keeps it tasteful, its a romance scene and dialogue. Not full on sex. If you want that go watch porn.

I just have these hilarious memories of the reports where angsty reporters are complaining that America's children are playing pornos masquerading around as sci-fi RPGs.

Oh please. Why don't you at least try reading what people have to say if you feel the compulsion to respond?

Tim only smokes cigarettes, NOT cigars.

Cigars are something that's actually classy and you don't inhale them, they are larger, and all that.

Crazy eh? Next time you want our passive and active defense and technology and guaranteed defense from our military we'll remember that we're just "crazy" to you, and ignore you.

All they had to do was create a nude texture without the naughty bits, use certain angles and editing to keep things hidden. This way bioware can avoid all that scary nudity and we can avoid scenes where characters shower in their underwear.
