As an american, I completely agree with this post.

We practically have a monopoly on porn and use the "sex sells" moto on just about every-****ing-thing, but show even the slightest nipple slip on TV/Video games and everyone loses their ****.

I mean, really...our entire current society is ****ing built on sex. And we have some weird double standard when it comes to other media? lol

Hence the use of the word "current" in my post. Post 1960's, it's been all about sex.

Wouldn't it be more likely that our current society is built on technology and the automobile?

How about a compromise? It's built on car insurance ads and third rate technology.

You are aware we made Japan what it is when we revamped their entire development mentality when we sent over some of the most well known and famous economists and sociologists to bring them up to speed with technology. A long time ago Japan was known for products that broke BADLY. Then we fixed their worker-mentality and concepts of scale.

Anyway, we are the leading edge on nanotechnology, laser research, military technology, and aeronautics.

Really? didn't know that. I always figured half the **** I buy that breaks after 6 months was a design flaw. But it's actually a feature?

The problem though is that more and more products are made by the Chinese. Look at Sony. They made the PSP in-house in Japan. But the Vita is being made in China. Why? Because the yen is strong right now, so if they made it there, it would be too expensive for them to export to other countries. Plus if the Chinese make it, it's cheaper to make it. Cheaper labor.

Anyway, Americans are weird. We don't mind violence, we don't mind profanity, but we like to pretend people were born with clothes on and don't have sex. Ever.

Can we get back on topic? Which is about introducing nudity in every day media because honestly I don' tsee why it should be lacking in scenes WHERE appropriate. Sure don't have Penny walking around naked in Big Bang Theory to sell her body, but in the episode where she fell in the shower she was naked! Sure she had a towel on her but THAT MAKES SENSE. It would have been REALLY weird had she had on some sexy black lace lingerie... Though Sheldon Cooper's reaction to that very same event would have been hilarious...

If it's shown often enough in real life situations then people would eventually accept nudity as part of life and not an excuse to crack one out at 7:30pm during a sitcom or mid way through a game. There is no need to QQ about stuff that should even be seen as porn. It's life, that's all that needs to be said as honestly not one of you can say that nudity as emotionally crippled you. Also Rated M for Mature is 17+ here in Britain it's a 15 certification. Germany also rate their own games and honestly so do  a large amount of the countrie based in the EU. Eveyone has to realise that 90% of all 17 year oldwill have already seen nudity in some form be it in porn, during a horror movie or indeed just stumbling onto a picture on google. (Yes it's THAT easy. Seriously you question me just give me a private message and I can tell you two or three images you can get to simply by searching on MODERATE)

Fox wouldn't make an uproar if stuff like nudity was accepted into our culture like it is a large amount of cultures around the world.

ya, america is the biggest porn producer of the world, they even have hooters and playboy, yet somehow they try to shun all the nudity out of games and books and public places...americans are a crazy type of people.

So is it ok to post pictures on BSN. The nude model has no nipples. If you use a fly cam mode you can see Liara full nude body model it has no nipples.

That is hilarious, but it makes sense. Liara only had a nude model so that she could appear nude in the romance scene, while her naughty bits were obscured. Since those naughty bits weren't going to be shown it would make sense that designer wouldn't waste time on nipples.

Well to reiterate my oppinion.

I don't need nudity and I don't think it should be in eg. a mass effect game without reason. If bioware makes a "Boys/Girls on trampolines" game sure! ...

For a mass effect game there could be nudity if it's to add depth or emotion to an ingame relationship with a fitting scene.

You mean liek when Traynor is in the shower or during the endless amount of romance scenes? My honest opinion throughout this debate has been that it shouldn't be included for the hell of it but to add depth to certain scenes where it is more realistic for the character to be nude then it is for them to wear there lingerie style underwear. I don't need a nipple shot or a scene of Shepard licking Miranda's clitoris but why does Liara have a nude scene and not say Ashley or Tali? If your going to do scenes where wearing underwear just makes it awkward to watch then don't do the scenes. Simple as that.
