Quite. We're all fine with nudity where the camera shots don't actually show off the things clothes are supposed to cover. That's why you don't hear people whining about the lack of nipples, just the presence of clothing.

I would like nudity where it's appropriate. Say, when entering a shower or when sharing the bed with someone. I certainly don't need to see the act, but it simply looks absurd when two people obviously had sex and didn't remove their undies.

no you wouldnt see ratings like that here because we dont use them, currently we are BBFC which is U*, PG, 12a, 15 and 18 and we are currently in transition back to using PEGI which is 3,7,12,16,18

Same in Germany. But some games are apparently worse than that

But then, so is some music, and at any rate the Rating agency can just refuse to rate a game or movie which automatically makes it illegal.
It's why noone gives a f*ck over here - if a game is not available you just buy it off Amazon Austria. Or get it off RapidShare, depending on your moral stance on such matters, and the speed of your internet connection.....

The nipples and cameltoe was just a reference to other threads in this forum I've read, nevermind. But we are talking about a game meant for adults/matures, right. And I, as an adult, am offended that BioWare treats me like a 10 year old child with the underwear-in-the-shower scene. Seriously, I can take the truth! <_<

Actually a very good point. It makes little sense that BioWare would be so afraid of showing anything, but outfit several characters with very noticeable assets (Miranda, EDI, Samaras cleavage....)

Of course. Pornography it's a 'Show' and a 'spectacle' and the vulgarisation of sex. While Nudity .. it's just someone without any cloth.

I find it more dumb when they work so hard to hide it. Like it's some kind of sacrifice to see a pair of nipple. Do you consider a woman breastfeeding pornography or just a woman breastfeeding? WHich is totally normal and a human thing to do? Porn is the ridicule of sex. Just like drug is the ridicule of addiction.

Porn violence also exist. Which is just the ridicule and vulgarisation of violence to the point of stupidity and unneccesity.

What I mean is just that ... A pair of boob is nothing special. Pornography just change that nothing into ridicule for the pleasure of the audience.

And that's what's leaves me speechless. In ME2 I had the achievement of sending X numbers of enemies to their screaming death. If I were a thoughtful parent I would be more worried about that.

I did some quick looking around on Wikipedia, so take it as you will, but God of War was made in the US.

Then again, God of War is all about the shock/slap in the face factor so it makes more sense to have an overabundance in those games.


Edit: My point being that sometimes, it can be in America, though it's from Sony, so yeah.

Sadly they have no problems with guns and stupidity, killing black teenager nor go rampage on other country.But, nudity is a no go for these people. Morality of the world looks differant from culture to culture.

because its been explained lots of timesin the thread, ihave about 3times already and its what the OP meant to, nuditry does not mean we want to see anything exlisit just that the people doint have clothes in stupid places like say the shower 

you can do this extremely easywithout showing the breasts, groin or ass of a character just not having clothes on showing the backor shoulders would have been a lot better

doingt the exact same thing movies and TV have for years by implying nudity by not showing clothing using camera angles and specially placed objects 

showing a womanin the shower just showing her from behind above the waist shows no explicit content at all yet doesnt look rediculus like the woman showering in her bra does  or having the woman under thecovers with the covers covering her breasts is still nudity but again showsnothing and doesnt have the stupid appearance of showing that she slept in her bra

Back on topic, yeah, most likely from the heat they got from Fox. You can see how much more reserved the scenes were in ME2, Miranda being the most explicit(though not explicit at all) then they got back into a semi-ME1 mood with ME3 but still haven't made it back to that level.

This. Not to mention sex scenes (and nudity) going from almost on a The Witcher 2 level (in style, far from it in quality) in DA:O to nonexistent (at least for the protagonist) in DA2.
Wanting to show mature relationships and then shying away from showing anything of note in terms of a love scene (not that in ideal role-playing every sex scene would have to be a love scene, but I'll grant them that particular pair of judgemental socio-normative rose-colored glasses), especially when you have done so before, comes across as silly, spineless and ironically enough immature.
I don't need -- or particularly want -- to get a hardcore porn fix from video games, among other reasons because the uncanny valley is even more unforgiving when it comes to close-ups on sex acts, but don't shy away from showing nudity and actual erotic intimacy on at the very least ME1's level -- and for all kinds of pairings, thank you very much. And preferably unlocked midway through the game and repeatable instead of a single culmination toward the end.
Oh, and yes, regardless of everything postcoital underwear etc. looks silly and totally breaks immersion.

A memory from my childhood sums this paradox up perfectly: when I was eight, I was allowed to watch The Terminator with my dad. All the blood and gore and violence and murder in the movie was fair game, but Dad felt the need to fast-forward through the sex scene, because... I dunno, nipples are more dangerous for kids to look at than a cybernetic assassin pulling bloody patches of gore off of his own face?

I don't get parents sometimes. It should be an all-or-nothing deal. Either keep your kids away from "age-inappropriate" material entirely, or let them see the world for what it is... entirely. Don't half-ass it. That just confuses them.
