Aren't we a little bit unfair?

This line of thinking is how I handle things but most fans just want to hate everything. I understand why, but it does sadden me.rgretret wrote...
In my opinion we should behave kinder towards Bioware, because they made a highly emotional game after all and just because the ending was disappointing for most of us, it doesn't mean that the rest of this masterpiece of a game was too.
I know some people just feel betrayed, it is a tough place for many.

The ending is so abhorrent in part because it does a disservice to how great the game (and the trilogy, really) really is.

Most people I talk to will readily admit that the rest of the game is fantastic. We've been more than honest about that.

I agree. Our outcry over the ending is a testament to how captivating their games were. I have never seen a game generate this much emotional attachment.

Yo dawg, so I heard about some synthetics issue and organics issue, and let's do some inane logic where it insults readers and gamers alike, then blend their milkshake together till it makes no sense. Ho boy. =)
Edit: And uhh, I don't really share the sentiment of the story being super outstanding, there are better stories out there in other games, but it was certainly an epic game in a sense. It's very polished, up until the ending, where everyone gets screwed over because it was so utterly and completely epic fail.

Also, EA/bioware is a corporation, it has no feelings to be hurt. I have no sympathy towards them it has no sympathy towards us, but I have sympathy for the individuals. The thing the individuals need to understand is, this is not personal.

Yeah...
Bioware made us feel emotions about the game and then created the endings that said "screw your emotions, noone cares".
Right..

They broke continuity everywhere, the ending just showed you where it was all located at.
Then they insulted their community in their defenses.
This is beyond unacceptable.

However maybe personal attacks on certain people is more well deserved.
Though that isn't acceptable so we should paint Bioware with the 1 brush.

I... I'm so ashamed. Perhaps I haven't been as vigilant as some, but I was cavalier to a reasonable extent (see my signature for proof of that). In all reality... I think BioWare is filled with writers far more creative than I could ever hope to be. I love the game and I love the franchise.
Though I still stand by my previous thoughts that endings shouldn't be held hostage and left out, I really don't think the game's finale would have had quite the impact if they did include whatever DLC they have planned.

For me, the only game that could come close to this in 2012 is Halo 4, but I still think ME3 will be better. Its the best game I've played since ME2.
That said, the ending was horrible and I don't think we're being harsh on Bioware at all.

We haven't experienced the ending of ME3 yet, just the penultimate chapter. Whatever DLC comes after ME3 will be the ending proper. Once that's done, people can judge the Mass Effect series for all it's worth, but drawing conclusions about anything at the moment is like complaining Frodo never made it to Mordor having only ever read the first two Lord of the Rings.
The idea that bio/ea sold us an incomplete game so they can sell us the ending later is more irritating then just having a lousy ending. If this is going to be a new trend then i am not even going to bother buying their games anymore. Mass Effect isn't an MMO where you can keep selling add ons so we can get the full story.

The endings don't make me hate the game, they make me hate myself for becoming so massively invested emotionally in them, and they ruin the magic the choices had on making your Shepard.
And that is why the endings must be changed, for Shepard, for the whole series, and by GOD for the little blue children!

When someone promises things they don't keep, they should be held accountable.
It was a great game sure, but tbh I feel they deserve this reaction. You don't lie to your fans and customers, you just don't.

That is even worse. We paid for a full game. We should geta full game.
