Well I've been looking around for some basic information on how I should build a character, so doe anyone know where I could find some basic guides?

For warriors you want high strength and constitution with a little dexterity thrown in when you can afford it. Make sure you have poison making ability or you won't be able to use poisons on your sword.
For rogues you want high dexterity and cunning. Add some constitution and strength later in the game.
For mages you want high magic and willpower.
