Alright, for the past few days i have been very vocal about this. But i know i'm not the only one who has had this same issue with this game on this forum. We disconnect to immediately reconnect at some random interval in a match no one knows when it's coming but the issue often comes in bloody sequence. Everyone who talks about seems to report multiple occurances. And i'm fairly certain all of us victims of this terribly irritating problem have done everything on our ends to ensure it's not a problem on our side.
The Question is Simple bioware. Can we get a bloody response stating you are working on optimizing the connection, that this is simply a problem we have to deal with until you can put a fix out there. Or will you remain silent and just leave us hanging as we continue in vane to figure out what the duece is wrong.
Frankly this is THE buggiest release Multiplayer i've played. The biggest problem of course being that we lose connection for no reason at Random intervals of gameplay to only be reconnected immediately after going to the main menu thereby losing all our hard earned XP and Credits.
Please Fix this problem or fix your Xp and credit system one of the 2 please give us some sort of bloody response on this.
this issue is caused by bioware being lazy . instead of bioware dedicated servers the loby leader is locally hosting the game. so when he discons everyone reloads the wave migrating to a new computer. not only is this lazy but it is detrimental since most players machines do not have good network connections and you end up with situations where you shoot something and 5 seconds later it falls dead because ofthe massive lag. not to mention the modding and cheating is all made possible by local hosting.
if bioware were to host everything on dedicated servers this issue would go away

No i've had hosts disconnect before it migrates to a new one. This is a complete disconnect from ME 3 servers followed by an immediate reconnect to those servers. If it were the hosts fault alone it would simply migrate to the next player.
You misunderstand the situation. While we can agree that this has its roots likely in lazy net code or something terribly wrong server side with ME 3 or Origin It's not the Hosts Fault.. Furthermore Dedis aren't exactly optimal for this style of GamePlay >.< The few other people i've seen post "well if we only had dedis" You guys have to realize this is simply a game mode that Does not exactly strike the need for dedis. If it had dedis it would be the first survival esque mode i've heard of that uses dedis. You guys need to realize that a mode made up of 4 people does not = an actual need for dedis! and certaintly does not warrant complaint of a lack of dedis! Games that do however are games like COD wher eyou expect ~12-24+ people playing in a game with multiple game modes at one time. And it would be totally understandable to complain about a lack of dedis in such a game (because with that many people connect and hosted by 1 computer
And while yes that might fix the problem in some cases but if it's the same thing that was happening with BFBC2 on release (issues with the backbone servers not supporting the load) Even dedis aren't going to beable to fix the problem. It's something their going to have to address with their servers.
TLDR: Dedis aren't needed in ME 3 there's simply no need for such a simplistic multiplayer. What is needed is better performance from Biowares/EAs own servers and you misunderstand the actual issue discussed in this thread massively.

Now I just play with Bronze because a sudden 50% group reduction is still doable...and this is only possible if I don't freeze up while searching for games, then don't crash while in lobby and if I'm lucky to avoid those two, pray that I don't lose connection during mid mission...and especially not at wave 10 or extraction which seems to be in fashion. WTF...seriously!
If this problems can't be resolved at least allow all EXP and credits go straight to the player the moment they make a contribution to kills/disables etc instead of waiting for the statistic page that 8/10 times will never come up due to disconnects. The statistics page should just be a summary.

I can't even finish a game anymore. it drops out every single time.
I want the fun of being challenged by the enemies not the connection stability.
I want to be able to play a full game reliably rather than freaking out after wave 6 almost hoping that we'll wipe.
This game has become so god damn frustrating that it's just not worth it for me.
i'm moving on to play something else, good bye Mass effect 3 i'll miss you.

At least let a 3rd party have a go.
I live in Australia, and tonight I have timed out of so many games I lost count.
The last 20 minutes go like this.
Connect to game............Join lobby.......game starts... I time out.
Or... the game is so freaking laggy, you fall through the floor and get stuck and the rest of the rounds becomes a rage fest....... Or you just time out after a random number of rounds...................... sigh.
I am sure the folks over at game ranger could get this game added to the list of games they support.

The "communicating" issue happens before and during every single disconnect or failed join that I have ever seen (I have seen quite a number). Generally, playing during non-peak hours and putting these three ports (the EA and bioware guides each mention one different port and opne similar port, for a total of three): 3659, 5659, and 6000 and verifying that your IP address is the same as listed in the ports exception rules in your router. Is the most agreed upon conclusion to "fixing" the issue "most" of the time. The Bioware post says to enable UPNP, yet I have also found an EA post saying to disable UPNP.
Calling their support was pretty much worthless (but your best bet), and the livechat was even MORE worthless (they should have paid ME for the time I spent on the livechat it was so bad), and these forums are basically a place where we can vent since I dont think there has been a single bioware employee to ANY post regarding an actual problem (they seem to spend their time browsing for people to ban, or putting stuff up in the "announcements" section).

Well I had just been d/c'd in wave 9 of a Gold match, that we were 3 manning (because we had one leecher that hadn't done anything the whole game. I got disconnected, and I'd say the leecher probably got all those credits >_<).
But perhaps I should make a new thread, where everyone can post a bump every time they lose their connection to EA's servers. Wonder how quickly that thread would fill up

xD lmao can we make it retroactive i have about 400 i'd like to post please >.>. I do just love how apaprently they took their time to temp me for bumping but completely ignored the issue. I even sent the admin who had temped me a message regarding it no reply to the pm and no reply in this thread. I'v eposted this thread in the Xbox section under their bit where they've been recieving tech support for their issue (the one that was only there for 4 days before bioware started paying attention) No response. it's like they don't even care about the market that is supposed to make Origin Work.
It can't rightly succeed if the PC community stops buying EA games because either origin or their Customer Service sucks (in this case i blame both). Luckily the Studio responsible for TOR is more responsive to issues/actually patches their game when their are wide spread issues in an attempt to fix the problem. Thus far Edmonton has lost all respect from me and my BW games end at ME 3 and TOR.
I only hope that if they continue to ignore us like this more people decide to avoid purchasing their games until they get back to how they used to be. I remember the ME 1 forums. They were responsive and helpful. They didn't ban you for ticking them off or for 'bumping' if you did something wrong they actually warned you before they moved against you. Those were the good old days. Now we have this..... silence.... if you listen closely i think you can hear the faint cricket that used to be Biowares sense of goodness slowly fading away like so many studios under EA that have gone before... it sounds sad...
i couldn't help the metaphor it's like 5 where i'm at and i'm totally tired @.@

I've posted it, hopefully it'll start getting some use, once people know about it. I suspect it will end up being a shorter thread if people only post when they get through a game without disconnecting. I've completed one game out of three without disconnecting tonight.

Yeah, like I said, its a "fix" for "most"of the time (very very loose definition of the words fix and most). There hasn't been an actual solution posted by anyone that I know of that actually works for most people.

it's actually not most of the time anymore the reported fix has failed for multiple people here. Just pointing that out. Also EA has issued contradictory support response to the one staed by bioware in the MP thread.

you know it could be that bioware has
not added enough network bandwidth and or memory to it;s master server
and it cant handle the numbers of players connecting. too many
authentication requests from clients to a poorly configured master
server with limited bandwidth could essentially do the same thing as a
DDOS attack and bump people off
i would actually think that this is probably the issue, a similar situation happened with BFBC 2 around release

What I meant is that the "fix" seems to have worked for me "most" of the time as long as I avoid peak hours. It is by no means a reliable solution in any real way, but it was something to try that had at least some effect on my connection problems.

I would guess this is probably the issue, especially since connection issues and lag are MUCH worse during peark hours/days.
