I thought it was done tastefully and it was good how it allowed Shepard to go gay but not get too out of character.  I felt it was a believable kind of gay and Bioware should be applauded for their courage in including it.

I also liked how they portrayed Cortez as being open and comfortable about his homosexuality as I think it shows how views on such have evolved in the future.

I didn't see it, but I don't have a problem with it. Although it is a bit weird that it can happen. He was so upset about his husband nealry every time my Shepard spoke to him, that it seems a bit odd that he would hook up with anyone romantically that soon.

What astounds me about all of this is, do the people who are upset about the fact it exists and then complain about it, seek out gay porn on the internet (because, it's, much like the gay-romance scene in ME3... ~right there~) and then go on forums and talk about how disgusting it is?

Luckily I didn't see it. Still Cortez whined too much and had too much dialogue for such an insignificant character. Heck, most of the ME2 companions had less dialogue....

At least it was more sincere and well-written than the Traynor romance. That shower scene was so bad I couldn't stop laughing.
