The OP's original post was definitely not him saying he was okay with it being in the game...

I'm not talking about OP. I'm talking about the guy who said he had no problem with it being in the game, he just didn't want to mess with it. Everyone's treating him like an extremist zealot who wants all homosexuals burned at the cross.

The guy who called us all f*gs and said all homosexuals are going to burn in hell?  Or the guy that said "whatever just let me remove it from my game because I dont wan tto deal with it?"

Cause the first guy can DIAF and the second guy can remedy his situation by not talking to Steve.

I agree, he can just not talk to Steve. I actually like Cortez as a character, I'm just not interested in getting hit on by him.

I wanted to defend the guy because he was being treated like that other clown that was in this thread, and he said nothing bad.

Do you find the blood and gore offensive? Would you like to be able to turn off the blood?
What about Liara/Traynor advances? For that matter, what about ManShep/Liara love scenes, since Liara is out-of-species entirely?

I propose a thought experiment. Imagine you are approached by a gay man at a bar. How do you respond? I would say that I'm flattered but that I'm straight (and also married). There is no way to "turn-off" the possibility that such an encounter would happen in the real world, so how would you react?

Inititating a conversation with him isnt the first move - in the middle of the conversation you have the option of making a comment suggesting your shepard is a homosexual, and from then on Cortez will be a bit flirty with you.

You can talk to him every chance you get and still avoid him hitting on you by choosing the supportive (but hetero) stance.

That's funny, does it mean you have a problem with taking all heroic opportunities as they pop up? Because I spoke to him throughout on my second playthrough and I wasn't hit on. But I also didn't try to hug the guy. 

In fact when he goes on to talk about "eye candy" at Purgatory, my Shepard says: "I'm more focused on  the eye-candy on the moving platforms." Which Cortez replied, "It's all good Commander, leaves less competition for me." 

Dude is a strait up G, a gay-G but he mans up pretty quick.

Hey it's alright that these racists are ok with black people in a game, they just don't want to see them (or have any mention of them ESPECIALLY if they are married -shudders-)

Okay I have tried to avoid being serious in this thread but this is something that really bothers me. Can we stop comparing racism and homophobia like racism is something of the past? Intersectionality exists.

Aren't the statistics 1 in 5 people are bisexual, bi-curious, or gay. A quick survey of facebook friends from high school that I thought were straight suggest that number to be about right. I think the ratio is roughly the same in agricultural animals, if I'm not mistaken--which can be a problem if you want your bull to make more cows and he seems...reluctant.

That was not the OP's original post.  He started this thread by making it clear that he was grossed out and included a photo of a pumpkin-head vomiting.
