I'll admit I find it repellant when a gay guy is over-the-top flamboyant, but that's just because I hate attention w****s.
Cortez just acted like a normal person who happened to be gay. So what?

I loved how casual his character was about it too - showing that at this point in the future, they were complete equals, like all the prejudice and hate was long gone. Something to aspire to.

Homosexual relationships are a part of life. Grow up.
So is hate, killing, murder, rape, war, etc. Grow up and stop whining when everyone doesn't like your precious perversions in their games.
You're equating two consenting adults loving each other to some of the worst aspects of human nature?
Thats not cool man.

Having said that, I fully support it myself and when i googled it, I thought it was rather sweet, very loving and sentimental.

No, he's equating all of these things as a part of life, which is correct and a good analogy.

Cortez is only for men, Antonio. You can use Kaidan he's bi if you want.
Oh damn, then that ruins my plans. I guess my FemShep will just have to eat crow and go back with Kaidan. *Sighs*. There aren't many options to love in ME3.
She can also go for Liara or Samantha, if she's xeno-flexible or bisexual.
True. I did give my FemShep a boy cut in ME3, so I can see a bi vibe coming from her. I might just go with Liara instead. I don't know why BioWare decided it would be a good idea to screw over your love interests in ME2, in favor of ones we might not care about. I think it would have been leaps and bounds better if you could carry on a relationship with who you wanted. Again, choices. Oh well, I will just go to Liara, it's who BioWare WANTED us to be with, anyway. For my MaleShep, I wanted to go to the Citadel and enjoy flirting with young privates, pinching Dr. Chakwas' ass, drinking Garrus under the table, and having an interesting conversation with James, even though my MaleShep was antagonistic towards him the entire game. After a few drinks, I wanted a scene where my MaleShep is in the throes of passion, riding a shirtless, sweaty James Vega. Instead, I "kinda" continued my relationship with Miranda. Thanks for the claification.

Whoops! Oh well. That'll teach me to forget to save more often before a random paragon interrupt. I would have had to go back a bit (as I was stoopid and turned off autosaves). I just played it out. The comments from that guy made me chuckle.
I won't say I'm open-minded (because that's a logical impossibility). I will say that I'm comfortable enough that it didn't bug me so much where I would pretend to be a "real man" by claiming it made me vomit or some such.

I think it reads more derogatorily than this though. He's clearly trolling there

Should have made the traynor scene like the girls in the movie Bound, or maybe Black Swan. and why are gays so sensitive? I see so much hate in this topic, but honestly for a straight guy, gay stuff is pretty repulsive, can't help it, just is. To me, seeing two dudes is like seeing someone wear jeans under a skirt, doesn't make sense. Not that I think it's any of my business what people do, but you guys take this stuff too seriously. Bioware takes this idea of equality a little too seriously.
Google "straight privilege", because you seem to be enjoying a long, relaxing bath in it.

I imagine people take it to seriously because they have to deal with the repercussions in their day to day lives. That would make most people take something kind of seriously.

As soon as he said he had a husband I always approached him awkwardly, I prefer if there was a way to kill him in the story.
I sincerely hope you're not serious.
The game isn't suppose to end happy, people need to die.
And you want to make sure the gay guy dies. Still not seeing why the rest of us think you're a homophobic notnicewordgoeshere?
I don't see him as a gay guy I just seem him as someone I want off my ship.
