I have grown weary of saying this again and again so I'll put it here:
::I found all of this entirely by accident, I was not actively looking to find anything at all, I just felt like exploring. This completely nullifies all of you nay-sayers that say my brain tricked itself into hearing things. I did my research within several threads to be sure that what I heard was abnormal, and I checked and double checked the dream level to be sure that I could replicate what I found.

Furthermore, as Mass Effect was created, not all experiences will be the same; we all play differently. I may have done something important to hear these voices or I may just be lucky. I am not the only person to find this I am mearly the one who decided to give it it's own thread.

Several people including myself enjoy exploring the game world looking for clues. One area of particular interest to me is the dream world Shepard finds himself in after a few missions within the game. This world is populated with tall black whisps that you can hear whispering things you cannot understand, or can you?

Here we will discuss anything we find important within the dreams that may lead to proving the theory that Commander Shepard may be Indoctrinated or influenced in some way by the reapers.

Here are my initial findings:

Okay, I'm in one of the godchild dreams right now. I decided to walk
into a group of the shadow figures to see if they said anything. I
could hear them whispering. I swear to god I heard them say "don't trust
him", this peaked my interest, I know that I didn't imagine that so I decided to explore further. Moving into other groups I heard more and more voices speak up above the whispering, things like "Get back commander" , "Someone outside is coming" (when I got
close to the boy), "SHEPARD! (really loud elderly male voice), every
time I got in a group of the whisps. The most staggering thing I heard was "Stay away from him, trust
yourself" as I got closer to the child (that one sent chills up my spine)

     - this video spends quite a bit of time in the Dream world, turn up your audio or put some good headphones on an you will hear quite a bit. Go to pages 17-18 of this thread to see the time stamps people have discovered strange voices in.

around 0:28-0:30 I hear what sounds like "---- me" could be "help me"
0:36-0:39 something is said, hard to hear though
0:45-0:47 "they're all dying" just a re use of the child convo
Demonic sounds from 1:00-2:00
2:45-3:00 Reaper noises not sound alikes, these are real reaper noises, listen for yourself.
3:20-3:46 scary reaper sounds. Seriously. DO NOT listen to this in the dark without a change of pants.


On another note, has anyone
noticed that the whisps almost blockade the boy? Like they don't want
you near him? How about how the got louder and angrier as the whispered
when you approached him. This is analagous to how the body reacts to harmful foreign bodies I.E. White blood-cells and viruses/bacteria

I decided to write this as I played so I
wouldn't forget anything. The dialogue of the whisps needs to be
analyzed further, there's something important hidden in their speech, I
just know it.

Feel free to adress any aditional clues you discover below.

Edit:: We are not discussing the voices of dead crewmates you hear, those are meant to be heard and seen by subtitles. This thread is for discussing the noises and voices we found by exploring the dream world.

Aditional discoveries by other users::
.Standing close to the child without triggering him slowly reveals a synthetic sound/voice which if listened to long enough may sound similar to either "Don't trust him", "Just kill him", Or "Just shoot him" it is currently unclear which it may be if any---confirmation requested

. Dialogue from Thane may be heard from either sex incarnation of Shepard irregardless of whether Thane was romanced at all

."Stop dreaming" has been heard by several users, a new development

.The child can be seen holding the toy ship in the first dream but not the second or third. -confirmed by Byne

A reminder, Stay away from the child for as long as possible, there are several groups scattered around. Eventually you will run out of groups to check (If they say something they will only say it once to keep your ears open), that is the time to go to the child. Do it slowly as sometimes the group surrounding him will say something. After the child runs away, some of the groups will re-set or move and you will be able to hear them speak again.

I found it somehow clear to see that the dream trees are resembling blood veins or brain synapses. Coincidence?

I heard Mordin giving me his awesome line that it had to be him, and Eve saying something, but nothing else. It was creepy as hell and I always followed the boy so that I'd wake up.
Because it was creepy as hell. I "did" however try to avoid passing through the shadows when I could (because they were creepy).
So yeah, I'll have to see this on youtube if/when someone uploads it, no way I'm loading a save to hear the creepy stuff.

Dude, you should REALLY post a vid to youtube or something of a full dream sequence worth of crowd conversations. If this is all true, it would deffinately add a lot to the IDT evidence list.

I had a save right before the last dream before you go to Cerberus, and it was annoying because I could only run around for a very short while before it automatically went to the boy scene. In the other dreams I thought I could run around as long as I wanted and run into all the oily shadows if I wanted, but that is not the case with this last one. So I did it like 3 times, to see what voices I could hear.
This is what I got:
Does this unit have a soul?
Shepard Commander help us
Someone else could have gotten it wrong

and last but I think most important one:

You are a great protector siha but some things are beyond even you

is this hinting that you will lose no matter what at the end?

Also, when you are in the citadel at the end there are a ton of voices noises there, they all sort of overlap in the background, I could only make out "Shepard Commander". So hopefully someone can figure out all that is going on in that background noises there.

Is it possible to run away in the dreams...as in the opposite direction the the kid? Just thought of this as I was reading through your posts, would be cool if something different happened
