Bought From Ashes over spring break. Played a new game. Went back to university. University firewall prohibits me from accessing DLC. Single-player game is locked for me. Good times.
Great.

Wow, the university you go to practices some pretty draconian measures.

I'm pretty sure all ports are blocked except those for web pages and email. And World of Warcraft.

Honestly, you should probably just move out of the dorms and get your own internet if that's the case.

You can always ask their administration to open up the ports, most seem to be very easy with those kind of requests as far as Ive heard.

Nope. My university is very adamant about not opening ports. I sent one in for The Old Republic, and it was denied, and my roommate sent one in for Battlefield 3, and it was denied. I like the part where I pay for a game, and get punished because of it. I think I'll just go back to pirating my games from now on.

The fact that you have to check in online EVERY TIME you open ME3 is aggravating to no end. If my internet is down, I can't play the single player at all. Honestly, I think it should phone home once to verify that it's a legit copy of the DLC and that's it, allowing subsequent startups of the game to not need to phone home.

Does anyone know the port(s) ME3 uses for DLC authentication?
