Sony didn't take part in Goliath due to security concerns. That's it. PS3 owners should be able to continuously participate in all the following events as much as Origin and Live players as they have in this last one. Hopefully Sony will participate in future events similar to Goliath, but that's up to them. You can't blame them after what happened last year.
It had nothing to do with Microsoft exclusivity. All that Microsoft had bought was the right for early demo promotions and leaking out content.

Just dont do it when it comes only for 'this and this and not for this" PS3 users have paid the same prize, we deserve the same things....
The PS3 version is the worst in optmization too...
And if the upcoming event is missing at PS3 i am really sorry for buying that game!
We all ready been complaining for a good few weeks, if the leaks are to be believed then PS3 users are going to miss out on EVERYTHING, including the new DLC due in April (Batarians and Geth).
I'll be leading the revolt if this happens. But it's a Sony issue right!!!???

I thought it was made clear that Sony is making it hard for Bioware to do anything.
Where is this made clear? Why is this an issue for Bioware only and not every other company that makes online games on the PS3 with zero trouble?

The issue can be fixed in a week by Sony going from " No we wont allow it" to "yes we will allow it".
If you are familiar with corporate environments, this never, ever happens.

We know they can put stuff in like the packs, we know they all ready collect PS3 data (check the box in the options).
I think they are playing favourites.
Then they have evaded everytime someone says "well what is the issue with Sony, be specific"

Many games on the PS3 with online functions take full advantage of user feedback through the consoles, like this game, so explain to me why Mass Effect 3 is the exception to this rule and causes security risks and technical limitations?

I suspect that this issue has been going on since before the game was even released, as in when all these events were drawn up.

I'll take that as a concession. Its about time.
I know its hard to blame Sony. You know with their impeccable record of treating their costumers with respect and care, but Sony is known for these seamingly asinine and unilateral moves.

Other companies and games do not have this problem. I've yet to hear the technial limitation excuse when it comes to cross platform events and games. That is why I am taking Sony's side on this. Everything else just points to it being an EA/Bioware decision based on $$$. If that was the case, I'd accept it just as long as they owned it and not give us the false statement of technical problems.

but those don't require player info like the goliath ones did even the bf3 soldier because it has to check the players info to see if they have bf3/did the event i don't think sony liked that.Nocturnalfox wrote...

"Some other guys did it" tends to make for a poor excuse of proof that they're doing it for money(And what money? Why would MS give them money to not tell people that it's only on XboX/Windows?)
You should probably get more knowledge of how development works before saying that technical limitations are an impossibility.

I'm doing no such thing. The points are what they are and this game isn't all of a sudden the exception to something that isn't an issue on the platform. I've never heard of technical limitations on cross platform games and events. Have you? I don't buy this excuse when everything else points to the contrary.
I have no love for Sony as a company and would be ranting on them just as much if I felt it was their fault. I just don't see it.

Perhaps you don't see it because Sony has indoctrinated you? Just a thought.

If they could make the game pick up on you having a previous game, or playing the KoA demo and vice versa for KoA (ME3 demo) for the armour they could of sure done the same for BF3.

While I would agree with you, the security risks and network are the same thing, so it would support my argument.
If someone comes in this thread and shows me something that makes all signs point to Sony as the reason for the Goliath omission, I'll admit my mistake with zero problems. But when I can point to several reasons as to why they are not and all the other side has to blame Sony with are hypothetical security issues, I have to go with my gut.

5th Xbox? That's funny. I'm on a launch console. Unlike most people i don't set my **** on the ****ing Carpet to let it collect dust. You get what you paid for. In this case you purchased a piece of ****.:D
Sorry not only do I not believe for 1 second that ur first Xbox is kicking but also the fact that you infer you paid for anything lol. The only reason why you think Xbox is better than a pc apparently is that you cried to your inbred parents/uncle/aunt and finally got one. Henceforth you declared war on anything that you didn't start out on.
Xbox as an investment just... Wow dude. Even comparing to a pc is flabbergasting. This pretty much reads you are either a complete idiot or clearly blind. Which is it?

Opinion and the PSP didn't suck. Also, alarm alarm, big companies don't care about you. This isn't a Sony exclusive mandate.
