I still reckon its on biowares end. Till they come out and say exactly what the problem is rather then blaming then Sony.
I should point out I have rang them up 3 times now and asked about and have received one email- they all said there is no reason for the PS3 to be excluded and if there are problems they are on the developers end and not Sony's.

So now we have BW saying its Sony and sony saying its BW- if BW wants to do something productive instead of telling us "you can not participate because of technical limitations on PS3" how about telling us what those limitations are and stop giving us the run around.

look 2 post up incase you can't find it here you go:Welcome to the next N7 Multiplayer Weekend!

Last weekend our community operatives united to train a record number of new recruits.  The time has come to turn these new recruits into battle-hardened veterans.
Join the war against the Reapers online between 5PM PST Friday, March 30th to 5AM PST Monday, April 2nd and promote at least 2 characters to your single player campaign.
This operation includes PC and Xbox 360; we are continuing to work with Sony to enable these types of Operations on the PlayStation 3 platform.  We appreciate your patience, and we expect an update later this week regarding Operation Raptor and the PlayStation 3.
Commendation Packs will be awarded to individual soldiers who complete their training, and a Victory Pack will be awarded to everyone if the Allied Goal is achieved.  Packs will be available to download the following week.  Please note that participants need to set “Upload Gameplay Feedback” to “on” in the online options to be able to participate in Operation RAPTOR.
*Some restrictions may still apply, Operation Raptor is not open in all regions.
Update: Due to restrictions on the PlayStation 3 platform, we are unable to offer Operation Raptor to our PlayStation 3 users. We apologize for this inconvenience and we will continue to work with Sony to extend our weekend Operations to the community.

That is not an answer. That is once again blaming it on "technical limitations" all the while being vague what those limitations are.
I don't want to hear excuses, which BW seems good at, I want to hear answers, problems (in great detail) and eventually solutions.

Just dont do it when it comes only for 'this and this and not for this" PS3 users have paid the same prize, we deserve the same things....
The PS3 version is the worst in optmization too...
And if the upcoming event is missing at PS3 i am really sorry for buying that game!

I pay for Xbox live, a service which works with ME3 multiplayer events.

You don't pay for Playstation Network, which does not work for the multiplayer events.

So, no, you don't pay the same price, not prize, stay in school.

Think I have paid more then my fair share for PS3 and Sony...
Initial cost: £600
YLOD1: £153 (refurb)
YLOD2: £153 (refurb)
YLOD3: Free (broke in warranty)
YLOD4: they upgraded me to a 320GB slim (from a 40 chunky for free).
PS+ subscription (Expired about a week ago)

Think that is a lot more then any 360 user anyway

Where do you get this "blming it on technical limitations" BS.
PS3 as a platform has restrictions because Sony is uber paranoid about access to their private little network ever since they got hacked.

I'm not saying anything that isn't true or echoed by reps at Sony and at EA. They confirmed there was in reality zero technical issues and it was a choice to not include it on the console.

The PS3 has had all the other packs added and taken away. If you believe the PS3 is technically incapable of participating in an event the 360 and PC can, you are not a very bright person.

Keep drinking that Kool Aid.

That's still just you saying it, but still nothing proven.

And if you think the data management on 360 is the same as PS3, you are not a very bright person.

This sucks for PS3 users, but this all comes down to the PSN limitations that Sony has implemented. It sucks, but Bioware can't do anything about it. Don't get me wrong, MS has just as many problems, such as not allowing cross platform compatibility with Portal 2. Both companies have their quirks when it comes to online service and unfortunately it comes back to hurt the consumer the most.

As for Sony CSRs stating that this has to do with Bioware, I bet they have no idea what they are talking about, since they do not handle the PSN technical support with developers. Same thing happens if you contact EA or MS, they can't give you any real technical answers since the CSRs handle basic troubleshooting. They are going to default everything back to the developer or publisher.

that only applies to BUGS not events that they DON'T HAVE TO DO AT ALL they can do nothing IF sony is not allowing them thus not making it their fault.

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but bioware can't track the data on the psn due to it's pricacy policies.

While that doesn't excuse the fact you didn't receive the free commendation pack, it excuses you not receiving the victory pack (the one with the N7 weapon) because Bioware had no way of knowing whether you had or not completed the challenge.

I have a PS3 myself (although I play ME3 on the pc), and while this must suck for you, it's Sony's fault, not Bioware's.

IF that is the case they will have no excuse for not releasing the TBA DLC (geth/Batarians) and should have none for not releasing the collectors rifle.

Actually all the other ones do and I am using it as an umbrella term.

This goes for anyone commenting in this topic- if you do not actively play it on PS3 then I am done with you.
PC users and 360 users are not missing out, don't see why they would call BW on it.

"Hai gaiz I kontakt ze CSR and dey say it iz not ar folt lol!"

Really... CSR reps on both sides are just a bunch of students who work as a modern whipping boys, while being provided the minimal "need to know" info. Basically they have no idea what they are talking about, so saying that there is some sort of "proof" of conspiracy based on what Timmy the Rep part-timer told you is kinda dumb.

Of course they had no idea that some game had some event with something something in it not working for PS3... Durr...

The reason is simple, Sony is totally freaked out on the privacy level after they got lolhacked twice, so having a game gathering data for a third party vendor on customer playing habits makes them blue in face, since they really can't afford to mess up on security again.

Bioware/EA IS at fault as well, because they clearly DO gather quite a bit more than "ooh you killed a brute!" counter and Sony does not like it, because they don't want some nerd to find it out and then get another ****storm about PS3 being a spying device, thus Bioware would probably have to adjust the game for PS3 to please both Sony's paranoia and EA's epic greed.

i honestly think ps3 got ME only because of EA being greedy

Yeah, I think they just threw together a half-assed port of ME2 to make a few bucks. The trilogy should be complete or not exist at all on a platform. You shouldn't just throw PS3 gamers half a bone and act like you're doing them a favor. I wouldn't advise anyone to play ME2 or 3 on PS3. Play the whole thing on PC or 360. Preferrably PC.

When all is said and done we will see when the DLC comes.
They will have no excuse for not releasing that on PS3- seeing as pretty much every other game seems able to do it.

The difficulty is that Sony's regulations don't allow the features that Bioware is putting into games on other platforms, such as the operations and other aspects no point complaining about it here.
