Why does everyone give liara so much attention after thessia?

To dislike with passion is the same as hate. When you make a thread about the most unfounded reasons for disliking someone, it = hating.

Oh and btw, I have no, absolutely NO problem with other...mances, as you say. I like most of them, which separates me from the likes of you, who must attack another because you feel slighted with yours. It's life though I guess, just like if a person makes more money than someone else, rather than just celebrate the person and/or just appreciating where they themselves are, they instead start telling accusing the wealthy person how selfish, elitist, money hungry, and spoiled, or (insert random wealth insult here) they are automatically.
Gotta love humanity.

Thessia probably fared much better than Earth and Palaven because the war ends shortly after the fall of the planet (the reapers don't have enough time to harvest the whole population). Of course Liara couldn't have known this.

Actually, no one but has to explain why they dislike a character. It doesn't even have to have a tangible reason. It could be a gut feeling, or the way the character "rubs" them, so to speak. Everyone is entitled to how they feel about characters, whether or not you agree with their reasoning for it. However, I do agree that it's ridiculous to compare characters for the sake of disliking one. But, to attack another character after crying foul over your own favorite is childish, and isn't likely to garner you any favorable outcome. Especially when you refer to any other character than Liara as simple cannon fodder.
And I like Liara quite a great deal, but I can honestly say at this point that I'm beginning to have a certain distaste for her fandom, and Tali's, based on the general behavior displayed so broadly. Both characters are excellent in their own ways.

This.
Thessia wasn't lost anymore than any other system. In fact in-game a few turians eluded to the fact that Palaven was lost. So the term is being misinterpreted here. It was lost just as much as any other system, definitely not MORE lost than Earth for sure. Earth got the worst of it as Humans posed the greatest threat to the Reapers.

We clearly don't have the same definition of hate, but ok, I can understand. I see your points, and I'll tell you why I dislike... hate, whatever, Liara.
I didn't dislike her in ME1, she just didn't interest me at all. Her character was too generic for my liking. Same as Tali and Garrus, actually. The romance felt too rushed, I didn't see the appeal. I also have to confess that I dislike the asari in general, apart from a few awesome characters like Aethyta, Samara, or Farele. The concept of their race is laughable to me. But that's personal. Biased, even.
It was ME2 that made me dislike Liara. I didn't like the fact that Bioware assumed I was friends with her, the same way the automatic BFF vibe with Garrus annoyed me. For all we know I could have completely ignored Garrus in ME1, why the hell are we chatting like we're best buds? I litterally have no option to shut him up the way I did in ME1. Same with Liara. I barely talked to her in ME1 and yet, I have to hug her upon meeting.
Additionally, she freaks me out. In ME2 she went from a bland character (to me) to a complete psycho. Her obsession with both the Shadow Broker and Shepard, and the fact that she gave Shep's body to Cerberus, completely ticked me off. I get it that she's socially inept, I don't have to like her for it.
ME3... she was tolerable in ME3. Character wise. Still didn't like her, but it was not as bad as ME2. She was just kinda there. Until Thessia.
Her character arc is very interesting, I have to admit, and that last scene in London made me smile. It was one of the sweetest scenes in the game, I can honestly say it made me fall in love with her for a second. She is without any doubt an interesting character, but I, personally, am not interested.

You're joking, right? Liara is hardly alone in being one of the characters you can cheat on your LI with during the course of the game. Perhaps your Shepard is male, but mine is not. And despite newly reconciling her relationship with Kaidan (whom she never strayed from), she was immediately pounced, unsuspecting, upon by Samantha Traynor and Diana Allers for sexual favors. Liara, at least, is more classy about it and has a long emotional attachment to Shepard. So, I would hardly call Liara's insinuation to be inappropriate, ill-placed or even exceptional. It isn't.

Oh please. Don't do the whole condescending, I am better than you approach. That doesn't work with me. First of all I have never attacked any other characters. Yes I did say cannon fodder, but I never stated which ones were and were not did I? So that is your interpretation of what I said. See I did that on purpose to see who would interpret it that way... You won.
The point of my whole post is proven. People who have an affinity to (insert character here) are simply comparing and that is the fundamental problem. It's a natural reation, but when you think a little further, every character in this game had different levels of importance. no one is getting on Tali's importance, or Miranda (who is very important in this trilogy).
This is honestly no surprise to me. Liara has the MOST importance which guarantee she will have a fan-hate-base.
But looking at the entire series, Garrus, Tali, Miranda out of all of the LI's have great importance, but no one is hating on them. In fact throughout this whole "My LI vs your LI" thing since ME2, Liara fans are the most non-violent. Tali fans are abrasive, Miranda fans... OMG, and Ashley/Kaidan fans are simply more defensive if anything from the Tali/Miranda fans.
Liara fans are almost never involved in any hating (at least not that I've seen).
So once again, don't do that... just don't do that.

Liara's the one that obviously took it the hardest. Garrus was upset, but he could deal with it. Shepard could, Ashley, James, etc. could handle the grief of the homeworlds being trashed by the Reapers. Liara was obviously shaken and in shambles over the situation, and she felt guilty (and some responsibility) over the fall of Thessia, and it wasn't her fault. She needed someone to console her.
Plus, Liara's so sweet. She needed the most attention. Facts, bro.

Main difference is that none of those other "cheat options" get an entire DLC all around them, and neither do any of them have nearly as much screen time as Liara in 3.
Liara is a writers pet, period. And saying that doesn't make me a hater, I actually liked her character and the way they gave her an actual personality from 1 to 2. It's still stupid to give her this amount of screen time in 3.
