Better yet... Start off as a Dwarf Noble, and beat the game with the gear Harrowmont gives you as your parting gift from Orzimmar. Make sure you sell off everything you get. Don't want to upgrade from "Clothes", and basic dagger/shield. That might be a challenge.

I will agree that Blood Dragon Plate is pretty stupid with its stat bonuses.

Essence fonts give at most +5 str, so an extra level? Why aren't you complaining about tomes?

I should have added Tomes to the intial rant [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/happy.png[/smilie]. Though I don't think there aren't as many of them. And at least you have to give something up (money).
It just strikes me as weird that the other parts of the Blood Dragon Armour are inferior to the Juggernaut, Dragonbone (and perhaps other armour types, I don't know), but the Plate is so powerful. Messes up the idea of having a matching suit of armour.

Oh, and the PS3 version of the Blood Dragon armor still sucks.
Why? Serious question, I don't know what its stats are (and don't understand why BW would have made it worse).

I run my favorite Templar in Knight Commander's armor whenever I can get around to buying it. Want to discuss cheaping game play? Play a templar, equip the KC armor, wear the spell ward necklace, place 3 dweomer runes in your weapon or two if you dual wield... then profit. Laugh at all mages in the game with your 90+ spell (not elemental) resistance. With pieces of diligence you can get some nice bonus armor too. Fatigue my be an issue, but who cares when you ignore some of the most devastating effects the AI can throw at you?
Yeah, in the mage origin Duncan tells you about a group of Templars that almost didn't survive a blood mage. Those boys just didn't have the right gear to do the job.

Those fonts in the fade do a whole lot more than +5 str. There are 21 boosts to various stats in the fade. Always. If you've only found 5, you've missed 16. Think about that.
Yes but the others are different stats. The OP was only in regards to STR, so that's why I said only +5.

it's like complaining about exploiting force field. when you have the option to either not take the spell..or simply not use it...or...use it as intended..as a CC spell or an "oh S" save a dying character button
