I mean, I KNOW it is a game...so is it totally dumb that it upsets me that Wrex will never get to see his son due to being stranded on earth? Or that Tali never gets back to Ranoch?
And, umm, actually, Eve & Wrex' unborn son are actually dead. So is Ranoch. Since, you know, Mass Relay destruction is equivalent to a supernova. So that bothers me even more!
yo uknow i'm still not convinced that the way the mass relays blow up at the end of the game is the same as when you fly an asteroid into one. .
i mean asteroid mass/weight ect added to running relay = massive explosion
but an auto destruct may only destroy the contruct of the relay and eject the mass effect core leaving it inert. . that may just be my way of rationalising it though lol
All it would take to counter this issue (the mass relays blowing up) would be to show a quick clip of each of the major worlds looking up at the exploding relay and realizing they are cut off from the rest of the galaxy, but alive. But they didn't and the only envidence of what happens in that situation is complete system annihilation.

yup pretty much exactly my thoughts. . . . . . . i dont get why everyone is worrying about the relays so much, i thought it was kinda the correct way to go, renouncing all things reaper made sense to me. . although the rest of the ending didnt make much sense. . . . but yeah more explanation would definately be welcome,
i can imagine while runnig through some of the parts in YOUR ending, getting reports from other squadmates saying, how the F**k am i going to get home once they realised the relays were exploding . . . . . esp tali if she was your LI . .
we'll see what happens with the dlc when it does get released . . . .

Even if it was a 'controlled demolition', the destruction of the relays would still spell doom for the vast majority of the civilizations that depend on them. Imagine what would happen if humans today suddenly had no electricity and all electrical devices stopped functioning? a vast swath of the human race would die of starvation alone, because without machine labor, we couldn't produce enough food fast enough to support 7 billion people.

Guys... just one thing. Don't get your hopes up too high or you can only end up disappointed.
TBH, I'm rather pessimistic about what the official change to the ending is going to be. Unless they had it planned it all along, I imagine that they will do nothing to actually change anything aside from some unneccessary exposition to justify the ending we got, which will only make things worse.

this would be perfect but with maybe a bigger 'boss fight' with harbinger where we destroy him. And a big decision that can massively affect the ending scenes, like where we ultimately choose a side [harbinger/TIM/alliance]... dunno, but we should have an ending where we can fail in all of those too. but good job!

Also, the rachni queen suddenly shows up and saves the day, just like that? Otherwise, it's good.

Why don't all these people writing their random endings send a CV to Bioware instead of wasting everybody's time here?
I posted this idea on their ending suggestions board.

Again, having TIM be an 'avatar' of Harbinger is a final insult to his intelligence and lust for power, maybe it would be better if he is fully aware but not in control of his body, so while he fights you, TIM and Harbinger alternatively encourage and belittle you. Harbinger's destruction at the hands of Reapers seems a fitting end where self-determination wins out over subjugation. The ending I wrote is a straight line if you do everything right and is mostly intended for Paragon choices, failures could happen at any point along the storyline.

Great ending. Kind wish there was something about Miranda and Shep if you stayed with her as your LI. Seeing her in the battle too, with I think was fighter squadrons, would be great but hey. It's still better than what we've got at the moment.
I had a brief epilogue where she, her sister, and (if LI) Shepard are sitting together on the Presidum watching the Memorial ceremony from afar. It isn't a detailed epilogue but it's a light enough touch that you can be assured that they are ok.

Anyway it's an amazing happy ending otherwise and I do like the whole "joker" thing happening again, as well as getting to play with no guns and shields etc. Makes for an epic finale, no matter what the ending you get is.
Good job

Amazing how some guy from BSN can create a far better ending than a team of writers at Bioware.
Mind you, that's not a fact.

Didn't realize that Shep would be there too. Thank you for your clarification.Dark Gantros wrote...
