Pretty good stuff. If Bioware implements even one or two similar ideas, the ending will be greatly improved.

I'm not holding my breath on the new gameplay idea up to the battle with Harb/TIM, but I do think that having Shep wake from indoctrination, activate the real Crucible, and liberate the minds of the Reaper Cuttlefish, who turn on Harbinger (or leave). The epilogue I wrote still has merit, I believe.

Or any similar way, Anderson speech at Shepard's funeral. Liara (any LI you picked on your way) crying on empty grave. Wharever, just not rainbow's magic.
Additionally what would be shown if I sided with Geth on Rannoch? My Shepard virtually commited a genocide letting Geth exterminate Quarians (In self defence, perhaps, but still...), for some reason or another never got a option to even try to negotiate the treaty (dialog option were just missing, not grey, maybe Tali was exiled after all when renegade Shepard yelled at admirallity?)

I am afraid we will never see this implemented ingame because of Bioware/EA obsession with "artistic integrity", now when they announced a "ending expansion" I am afraid they will just add more colors to space-magic rainbow. D**n, I would even pay for the DLC which will "fix" the ending way you described. (great job, btw)

I never played a Renegade playthrough, so I didn't feel it would be right to make assumptions as to what constituted a Renegade decision. I wrote this idea for the best possible mostly Paragon ending, as a framework for the storyline. Making adjustments to account for all the permutations I leave to others, but it shouldn't be too hard.

Renegade is not much different from Paragon, just a minor permutations, in particular case there could be a shot on Tali's dead body floating in ocean on Rannoch (she commits suicide when you side with Geth). Cut to the wreckage of Quarian fleet on the orbit. / Geth helping to rebuild the Earth instead.
Othervise, you got most things covered in a way Bioware never could.

I just hope Bioware can make something which does the series justice and gives fans some closure =) I just felt so blank after the ending =/

I got the impression that Rannoch was an arid world, what I saw was desert, and I don't think we need to see Tali's body at all. A silent shot of the desert with burning space junk falling would be enough. I will say however, that after reading up on Rannoch, that the Paragon epilogue would show the greener coastline of Rannoch.

Depending on what class you took (Spacer, Colonist or Earth-born)//(Sole Survivor, War Hero or Ruthless) you should get an ending related to that.
Relating Shepard's whole family relatives and genes should've been a secret ending how hes a descendant of an old ancestor race, possibly Javik or even before the Protheans.
Shepard taking a breath and then doing a flash back showing all your choices, war assets, people you saved and lost and etc. Then have it going back before ME1. Example the Batarian battle on Elysium (if you had chosen War Hero) or surviving the slavers who raided Mindoir (if you had chosen Colonist).
Then it could even farther back to show you some far off relative or descended to the races possibly Protheans or before them. Thus! Creating a "wow" factor for us. It would've at least made the ending more unique and possibly gave people chillsB) and pee themselves in astonishment.....
.....

..
.
Instead, we get anger management classes and a bad ending.

Just had a brainstorm. This is unrelated to the ending, but it would have been a GOOD twist to find that some quarians had survived on Rannoch because they supported the geth and did not represent a threat to them.
Jesus that would have been awesome . . . . can you imagine! quarians being held in high regard and the geth giving them really upgraded equipment SUPER QUARIANS in geth armour

The camera pans over, shows Shep in a pool of blood with his arms and legs blown off.
He dies after screaming "Oh god, kill me now"
Still a better ending than Mass Effect 3, and dark enough for even the most hardened "pro-ender", although it does utterly destroy the post ending DLC potential.

This particular idea COULD be DLC, where the geth reveal the existence of the quarians that were left behind, and it would provide an opportunity for unmasked quarians to be revealed, even if it isn't Tali specifically.

So....if the galaxy's inhabitants could just kill Harbinger alone, then the other Reapers would somehow snap out of it? This would actually be a very good -conventional- way of "defeating" the Reapers. Stab Dracula in the chest, and all other vampires snap out of it. =) Like Fright Night.
Sort of... The premise of Harbinger's end is that he is the origin of the Indoctrination signal, which is relayed and amplified through all the other Reaper Dreadnought 'cuttlefish', which also influences them to see the Reaper worldview and seek to advance that agenda. If you suddenly snapped out of it, what would you do? If your species remembered what happened during their reconfiguration, during the countless cycles of xenocide, would you continue to fight as a Reaper, Turn on Harbinger, do nothing, commit suicide, run away? Suddenly seeing the Dreadnoughts go from the Order of subjugation to the Chaos of self-determination would fit one of the larger themes of Mass Effect, and set up an opportunity for a few Reapers to escape into the unknown regions of the galaxy to reappear later.
