SO ****IN' EPIC! I felt like when I heard William Wallace's cry "freedom!" in the last scene of Braveheart.(Extra scene if DL'd From Ashes) A single Reaper has remained, but is not performing any hostile action,
making alien sounds over all frequencies. Javik (if activated) recognizes it as Prothean language, and responds in his language. A short reply, and he weeps. Shepard asks what the Reaper said, and Javik replies 'Dismissed'.
Love it love it love it! I think that if BioWały and EA does nothing iy'll be my canon ME3 ending.

That was one of my biggest problems with the ending, the ambiguity of what happened to everyone on the Citadel, felt like they were just brushed aside.

Bravo sir! Truly epic, and the ending fans deserved. My only change would be O want to see Shep holding a little blue baby!
As much as I would too, I'm trying to make the ending as easy as possible for Bioware to make, which is growing increasingly more difficult as I get more ideas. Anyway, I think having Liara with a baby bump is easier to make that modeling and animating a newborn.

Certainly something worth looking at if you're on the Bioware Staff...

Very well written by you as well! I hope BioWare gets some inspiration from this.

...this is epic, especially the part about Javik. And I live the concept/implication that the crucible turns all Reapers into some sort of collective consciousness of the civilizations they are made of that's genius. Too bad I will never get to play this awesome ending.

Just a clarification, the Crucible disables the Indoctrination signal, essentially turning off the Reaper Ground Forces, and frees the individual collective minds of the Reaper Destroyers. I imagine that once freed, each Destroyer, despite being made of individuals (there might be some hive mind cultures in there, you never know), they collectively recognize Harbinger as the object of their rage, and hurl themselves at them. Other's seek only to preserve themselves and flee Sol, perhaps to appear again in a later game.

Really, Jackson, you still have your ME3 ending for YOU. I (we) have no problem with that - I perhaps even WE need another direction and this is far better than anything BW dumped on us.Stonewall_Jack wrote...
Oh dear... the ending we have right now is close to what I envisioned just has too many plot holes and was badly executed with the child... in fact I would say throughout the game it is poorly executed, hence so much rejection to the ending.
Now what is written here is a B game ending and I hope nothing of the sort will happen. The only thing you got right is the order of events creating the closure after all the action packed conclusion. I think from the previous game and lore it is quite clear that the reapers are all similar... reaper is a definition you give Harbinger a role that makes him the boss of all the reapers, in such a scenario only something like the god child is a plausible option. The only thing that could have been done better is that the spark that gave birth to the reapers is never revealed.
The citadel could be the birthplace of the reapers this is a viable option. In fact is no one disappointed that when it opens there is no new reaper dread under construction to be seen? The citadel being the solution is plausible and the writers can use it to reveal some elements to the reaper existence, but nothing that clearly defines their current (cycles) actions. The latter is exactly what is done by the child... not only that we are introduced to the boss and numerous plot holes that make us all pray for the indoctrination theory to be true.
The current ending is quite close as to what to expect from the series, however it is executed in such bad way that it is unacceptable and utterly kills the game lore. However where the current ending is baldy executed and thus ruins the game, your ending is a travesty to the franchise and world in my opinion, I am sorry to say this, but it is what I believe in.

If I ever receive a message from Bioware (not holding my breath) regarding my ending, I'll be sure to pass it on to all of you who have supported my amateurish writing ability.
