I'm particularly fond of the Harbinger being the only non-indoctrinated Reaper bit. I've wondered, if as is suggested Reapers include the uploaded minds of the species they are made from, why all those uploaded minds suddenly decide "Oh hey this is a good idea after all". Answers that question quite nicely.

 This, or something similar, is what I imagine for my own ending. Screw Bioware's ending. IF I ever play through again, and they still haven't released a decent end, I will turn off my console after the red beam hits me and will substitute this (or similar), im my mind,  for anything else they present me.

I mean....there should at least be something there of Shepard crying for him with Kolyat or something...since....apparently no one really acknowledged him or the relationship between my Shepard and Thane when he died.

It also ties into the theme of self-determination as a handful of Reaper Dreadnoughts, rather than attack Harbinger, completely disengage from the fight and make a run for it.

I thought his 'good' end where he died saving the Salarian Councilor was sufficient, and having another epilogue of say, Femshep silently standing at a gravesite with Kolyat was a little redundant. But since I don't intend for there to be dialogue for the epilogue snapshots, I don't see why you couldn't have something like that.

I think except for TIM and voiceover costs, most, if not all, of my idea could be done with the in-game engine using existing assets.

I know but even then, you still don't see FemShep crying or anything when he dies, even if you romanced the guy...

If the Penny Arcade forum post news is to be believed, the finale of the game was written solely by the director and the producer without the input of the writing team.

Good effort OP. Too bad Mass Effect is not modable like Skyrim. All we would need then would be a community project and a ChipIn fundraiser to pay for some professional voice actors. More options like yours should be constituting the endings variety in ME3. Oh well... all I can do is hope Bioware will still somehow repair this mess.

There also needs to be an ending where the Reapers just straight up win. Like, no doubts left - all life this cycle is dead. I want that ending to be possible!!!
