i don't agree.....singularity and shockwave are the only 2 power that can take an enemy of of covers. You can use shockwave even when you are covered (!) because it goes through things. And i like that now enemies stay lifted for a short time.
In my opinion the only problem of these 2 powers is the small radius, even upgraded (when radius is not upgraded they are useless)

All (biotic) powers can knock enemies from behind cover when you arc them. You are right that Sing and Shockwave (with all the radius upgrades) are (slightly) better for this (debatable though), but there are very few areas / situations to take advantage of this feature. I also doubt the both of them are better for this job than dual Pull/Throw who also have a radius evo and two projectiles have a better chance to hit the target (who might try to dodge it).
Besides, enemies who hide behind (high) cover are no threat. You can either ignore them for the time being or walk up to them to say hi ;)

Even pull does not lift protected enemies.....

Enemies with shields, barriers and/or armor cannot be lifted. The only power capable of CC'ing enemies with shields/barriers is Stasis (armored enemies cannot be CC'ed with biotic powers) - but Stasis isn't part of the Adept's power selection.

An insta-cast Singularity (like Liara's) would be great; an added ME2 CC effect (against shield/barrier) would have made it awesome.
Shockwave is equally gimped. If it had the ME2 Shockwave AoE (wide radius and 6-8 biotic blasts) it would be an amazing CC power that cannot be dodged and can stagger multiple enemies in one go. That would have made it truly unique.

Those upgrades should obviously come at a cost. Triple their cooldowns or something, I wouldn't care at all because it gives each power pros and cons instead of more of the same.
I much rather cast Singularity one time, knowing it will (instantly) hit the target (and doesn't get dodged half the time) while being unable to cast other powers for 4-5 seconds (with +200% recharge bonus) than spamming the current version over and over again with no room or time to use weapons.

It's actually sad that i ended up using shockwave more than singularity mostly in high cover areas or area i had to guess were enemies were

In co-op I actually use singularity a lot. Sense the Human Adept doesn't have Pull, you are kind of stuck with it.

The rank 6 timed explosion can be used to some advantage. I find it the most useful on Armor enemies or blind doorways where it may sit for a long time. It has a chance to do some good damage.

It's good for crowd control of husks and other health-only enemies that like to swarm, and you can combine it with warp for explosions.

Also, you're making mini black holes with your mind. How cool is that?

I always felt the rejigged Singularity from ME2/ME3 was lacking.

Especially now with things like Pull having a double projectile evolution with a crazy cooldown, not to mention Throw can detonate it (also with an awesome cooldown).

There's not a whole heap Singularity does to make it awesome that Pull can't do too. For the Adept, it's not really a great investment. Liara's is better though, as people have mentioned

Singularity continuously staggers shielded enemies. Thus, for the cost of a very short cooldown, the expanding singularity can keep enemies staggered for a long time. Haven't come far with my adept tho' .. so far I've only used pull+throw, but am now contemplating reave + non-AoE throw for certain double explosions when casting a throw; or even reave + shockwave for multiple explosions with a single setup (but shockwave glitches and is short range so will have to try before I possibly recommend that one)

Singularity does blow up with 300 damage for 5 meters in level 6, and enemy is less able to dodge it.

Another thing I find is that I don't have to sacrifies the cool down upgrade with singularity evolution when compared with pull evolution.

Anyway, I find singularity to be Pull for dummies. A lot more spammable, a lot easier to aim, and you don't even need blow up the singularity with a combo to do damage.
