It's pretty sad when that single incident and conversation on the Normandy afterward was the sum total of his charachter.  Did you have to give me the most boring squadmate in the entire trilogy right at the start of the game, but wait for freaking every to bring back Tali? There gotta be a spare Krogan around here somewhere...

Hmmm, Earth has just been invaded by the Reapers, and I'm on a critical mission to recover data from the Prothean dig on Mars, and James helps me do it. Yeah, I'd grieve for Liara/Kaidan/Ashley, but James got it done, the mission comes first, humanity comes first. The Reapers are LANDING ON MARS. There isn't time to dance around with Eva Coré. Everyone who signs up with the Alliance knows that they could die at any moment, and Liara should know that too. Heck, she just narrowly avoided being killed by Cerberus mooks. If James inadvertently caused the death of my LI, I would forgive him, and commend him for getting the mission done. It's not like he killed the LI on purpose, or because he was negligent. He was performing a desperate maneuver to salvage the mission and it paid off. If the LI dies, well, it's a personal tragedy, but losing the data would have been an enormous tragedy.

I already blew a mass relay in batarian space, safrice the council in the battle of the citadel and tossed someone out froma window, i don't feel remorse to another death in my kill count.

And yes, my shepard is still a paragon, it's just that sometimes paragons have to get their hands dirty.

also my  renegadeshep murdered the entire Geth race and EDI at the end of the game in hopes of eventually reuniting with my LI... If Vega killed her... pain, lots of pain

I'd go to the Citadel and tell the Council that Vega will handle all their complaints and tell him it's his responsibility to get all Council races on board all by himself, while I go off and raid Cerberus for how they did Project Lazarus on me. I'm not going to murder him, I'm (unfortunately) a Paragon, I'll just give him the worst, most frustrating job I can think of.
