I'm getting a near-constant problem where playing ME3 will sometimes cause Windows to completely stop working. When the problem occurs, the screen freezes, though sounds continue to play, and looping sounds continue to loop. The LCD display on my keyboard still responds at this point. I've attempted to Ctrl+Alt+Del out of this, but the only thing that accomplishes is causing said LCD to freeze up as well. The only solution at this point is a hard-restart of the entire system.

I should also add that I had the very same problem with ME2.

There seems to be little correlation between the actions I'm in the middle of in-game and the occurances of each freeze. It's happened during combat, during load screens, during conversation, during main menu, and so on.

If I had to guess, the problem is something in the system. Regretfully, I'm playing on an iMac which is running Parallel's. It has ample graphical power, however; it runs SWTOR at 30+ FPS and ME3 (when it actually works) at 20 or so.

Tried repairing; didn't work. Game froze two minutes after starting.

It's as good as unplayable with this problem. ANY help would be great.

Now that I think about it, overheating would suggest a strong correlation with freeze occurances. They always seem to happen in clusters; it'd freeze, I'd restart Parallels, start ME3 again, and it'd freeze again. Repeat til I get mad.

I'll see just how much cool air I can get blasting in the system. If it doesn't work, I'll be back.

I was having the same problem... I've read around that performing "repair installation" through Origin, would work. Just right click over ME3 on Origin, choose "repair installation" and wait for the 10gb repair pack to be installed. Worked for me until now... I still have some FPS problems at specific ocasions....

I have the exact recommeded settings (Dual Core 2.8mhz and ATI 4850)... it used to get real hot playing ME 2 and other Bioware Games that also gave me the same freezing and FPS problems (ME2 and NWN2 - Storm of Zehir, mainly).
