Multiplayer joining friends game problem

My sister and I are trying to play some multiplayer matches, but whenever i try to join hers i cant join...
She also cannot join my game.
But when her friend creates a game (same local network) she can join him and i can join him/her
So i think she is being blocked some how.
Anyone having the same problem? Or better yet anyone have a fix for this?

Cant join the game of 2 of my friends in the states, but when 1 of our mutual friends hosts a game, we can all join and play together without any problems.
Ive got all the ports forced open, same for allowing the game in my personal firewall, never have any network issues besides that and the now-and-then server disconnects.

If you have NAT, do you have active port-forwarding for these ports for UDP?
5659 and 6000?

The problem is def not with router/ports/firewall. Tried everything

I actually opened those in hopes to resolve my disconnects to games, usually it's a standard for me to open the ports my favorite games require.

This only helps when you don't have your router on bridge mode.

Mine has a static IP. But the weird part is that i can join her friend, who is on the same local network so he goes through the same switch and router as she is.
Yes, I wonder how many other people who have this problem also have someone else on their local network who own Mass Effect?

Those are open, but are those the ports that Origin uses? Or that Mass Effect uses? Because i believe the problem lies with origin not with Mass Effect. Beca8se i read and experienced the same problems with Battlefield 3.

Also, one time I was trying to connect and was stuck at "joining game" yet I heard mic audio from the lobby, an entire conversation actually of half a minute or more. Never got to the lobby though.

We have the same versions (1.1.5427.4 according the the MassEffect3.exe file) and that is the latest update Origin offers us. Multiplayer is working without any errors except when it comes to this.
It's really annoying to not be able to play with friends when playing with random people works.
