Bingo. The fanbase can be a hellhole sometimes, but lately we've been finding more and more common ground. I think it's because we love Mass Effect too much, and we don't want it to crash and burn. What's really amazing is that some honest good came out of all this (just look at the charities, and they actually said they'd fix Deception), so I'm hoping someday Fanpower is harnessed to start really changing the world for the better.
I was actually thinking about that last night. About how long it will take the BSN to revert back to a nerdrage filled warzone. Cracks already appearing around the Indoctrination Theory but I suppose it depends on if we get a fix for the eding or not.

Because there's nothing more to be said after this AWESOME thread.
Really, this sums the feelings of the fanbase so well. I hope BioWare read this thread and cry of shame what they've done in the endings.

While I completely understand your "There was no chance to challenge the Reapers face to face and prove to them that they were wrong, that we were stronger than they thought, that we were worth more than they gave us credit for." part, there's one HUGE problem with this.
The game pounds it into your head over and over and OVER again:
The Reapers CANNOT in any circumstance be defeated via conventional warfare. Standard rules of engagement and strategies do NOT apply.
How do you "prove you were stronger", when the means to do that won't work?
If it weren't impossible, the galaxy wouldn't need Commander Shepard to do it. I mean, that's the whole point, isn't it?

I agree with everything you said, and pretty much feel the same... although to a slightly lesser degree.

Great points, pretty much all the community has to say on the endings, as well as being delivered in a very readable manner.

I mean, I think it's important we know why the ending is so bad, instead of "it sucks". The DEVS need to know. Beause believe me, they will try to spin this as: oh, well she just didn't get our vision. So we'll release some DLC to clear up our genius ending, and then she will understand where we were coming from.
But yeah, the post really captures the emotions many of us feel.
