Here's another post agreeing with what was said in the OP. The ME games were awesome, ME3 included. But the end sequence feels so divorced from the rest of the games that it's just... well, terrible.

Pretty much sums up how I feel. I don't know if I would say it "destroyed" the whole ME universe, but it has definitely killed my enthusiasm in the series. I hope the new changes to the ending are really more than just "clarification". If Bioware does a good job with the ending, then I will feel confident saying that the storyline of the ME universe is my favorite from any medium.

I think most of us who would like the opportunity to earn a better ending for Mass Effect feel like you, Cheez. We love Bioware and their games with a passion, and we think the most incredible galactic space setting of history deserves better than what it got. And yes, I'm flat out implying that Mass Effect is superior to Star Wars or Star Trek in every aspect that concerns me.

Well said OP, I think majority of us share your feelings, even though sometimes we're a bit too cynic.

I love ME universe and many things that came along with it (Faunts band for example), but these endings... Yeah...
