Those final moments effectively destroyed the universe I so fell in love with. I am not even kidding. My choices, all my hard work, the reasons for my multiple playthroughs, were trivialized.

Sounds familiar.

While I completely understand your "There was no chance to challenge the Reapers face to face and prove to them that they were wrong, that we were stronger than they thought, that we were worth more than they gave us credit for." part, there's one HUGE problem with this.

The game pounds it into your head over and over and OVER again:

The Reapers CANNOT in any circumstance be defeated via conventional warfare. Standard rules of engagement and strategies do NOT apply.

How do you "prove you were stronger", when the means to do that won't work?

Sorry, in game codex disproves your point.
4 dreads can take down a sovereign class (just firing normally). Granted, they'll probs be destroyed\\badly damaged...or not. The reapers's beam weapons seem to be really close range.
Multiple crusiers\\frigates can blow up the smaller destroyer ones.
2 thanix missiles aimed at the weak spot, (the eye), again, kill a reaper.
a thresher maw killed a reaper....
a nuke can kill a reaper. (Cain).
Its hard work, but then again, the reapers never faced a united galactic fleet before, did they, hmm?

I share your feelings, sir.

My own take is slightly more that, over time Shepard became a little bit of me. And in killing Shepard, and effectively the ME universe, Bioware killed me, and left my friends stranded somewhere, unable to even retrieve my sorry corpse and give me a decent burial..

It hurt..

You have no idea how sad it is that I feel the same way. I have as much love for Mass Effect as anyone. I have Let's Played 1 and 2 more than once (one of them was more work then you could imagine since I had different guests from all over the globe calling the shots every 2 hours just to see how it all turned out) I anaylized every part of the story as I carefully explained how... Mistaken Smudboy was. It was all worth it because of the love I had for the game, and more importantly, because the story was good enough to defend.

I just beat ME3 last night. Let's put it this way:

My Let's Play will end before the last 10 minutes. I hope one day you will fix this and I can finish the LP. But I refuse to end my Shep and Combat drone jack in this way.

Oh and remember the Mass Effect LP I have spent so much time and effort getting all the different guest to add their part to Shepard? You made it all but worthless. All that will matter is what the last guest thinks is their favorite color. Please fix this.

We were told Saren was loyal.  We proved them wrong.

We were told that the Reapers were a myth.  We proved them wrong.

We were told the collector mission was a one way trip.  We proved them wrong

We were told it would be impossible unite the galaxy.  We proved them wrong.

Sheppard has made a career of proving everyone wrong.  Why not here as well?

Because this isn't a disney movie. I'm glad only around 95% of the game was disney.

It's really sad that fans cares more about game than developers. That should have never happend. If I could give advice I would say that all you people like AdmiralCheez, Phaedon, JeffZero etc. (you know "famous" and all that kind of stuff) should make them listen. They probably have more respect to your opinion. People like me who registered their account recently doesn't have that "punch". You know BSN better, you know devs better. Don't hide somewhere and be our leaders. We can win this

Thank you. I have a really hard time not letting my anger over this come through when I talk about it and I'm glad not everyone has that problem.

Ah yes, playing this card... :P

Although the ending didn't punch me nearly as hard as did to others, I agree. Leigh is essentially writing the fundamental words spoken from every fan within the last 20 days...but you know, in a civil manner. I would highly suggesting paying heed to this topic. Not that the developers aren't already (painfully) aware of the current reactions to the ending...but this is important.

Cheez when I talk about the ending I vomit this bitter raging evil and forgettable schmeck.

But if I could write as well as you I would have said everything you said. Shepard changed me for the better as well and what you said about caring about ME2's characters like they were people. Yeah so did I.

Thank you for your rant.
