Just what the title asks.  Is Barrier a good bonus power for a Vanguard?

This thread has three videos of a Barrier Vanguard. I personally don't notice damage resistance unless it is like 60%+ (Tech Armor+ something else). The extra power damage is helpful for your Charge.

it works well with vanguard because of the protection bonus
