This Is a fairly long wall of text but
if you care about where the Mass Effect Series and Bioware will go
next, give it a read.

So, Its been a long, awesome,
action-packed adventure through the Trilogy. Taking command of the
Normandy as the charming or intimidating Commander Shepard, who ever
he or she may be to you. Which leaves me wondering:

Where does Mass Effect go Next?

Bioware have spent roughly 7 years
working on the Mass Effect Franchise (Taking into account the
development time for Mass Effect 1) Which has to make me wonder where
they're taking this Franchise next? They've established their fan
base and have a huge following that spreads across multiple Target
Markets. So that raised the question of what the next Mass Effect game(s), I'm just
guessing there will be one/some, will be like. Will they lean more
towards the RPG/Shooter Hybrid style gameplay we've gotten from ME2 and ME3? Or
will Bioware go back to their roots and make the next Mass Effect
game(s) a lot more RPG orientated like Mass Effect 1 or Dragon Age
Origins.

I have a number of ideas on where
the series is going next, such as

1) Loosing almost all RPG elements and
appealing to the 'Shooter Loving Teenager' Market. Don't get me wrong I
love a good Shoot-em-up game every now and again, CoD, Battlefield
and Army of Two spring to mind, but I don't want to see Mass Effect
fall into that trap. Bioware have already started leaning towards ME
being more Shooter and Less RPG since ME2. Simplifying or 'Dumbing
Down' down the combat to appeal to a wider market and completely
removing all Exploration since Mass Effect 1 (Excluding that DLC that
had a 'tiny' bit of exploring in ME2, that doesn't count because its DLC) Not
to mention the HUGE variety of Armour and Weapons we had in Mass
Effect 1 that just vanished. The Weapon upgrading system they implemented into Mass
Effect 3 is a step in the right direction but its not quite the 'Fine
Tuning' we RPG Lovers like to do in a good ol' RPG game.

OR

2) Bioware going back to their roots
and making Mass Effect an RPG, in the same sense that Mass Effect 1, Dragon Age:
Origins and Knights of the Old Republic were. Don't get me wrong this
is a risky move on Bioware's half as that would cut out the Shooter
Audience that they've tried so hard to attract since ME2, but I think
this would be a step in the right direction for Bioware. There is a
sizeable gap in the market of Western RPGs, for a through and through
RPG that doesn't feel like a stupid arcade game --> Not Kingdoms of
Amalur... The thing I've found about RPG Lovers is that we are
willing to buy SO MUCH DLC if the company releases it. As long as we
get a full adventure on the disc, we're all for expanding on the game we've paid for. Whilst of course waiting for the next instalment in
the series, or a new RPG all together. Bioware have years upon years of experiance when it comes to making the best Western RPGs out
there, in my opinion. Get back into that style please, Bioware.

Question time

What I'm wondering is... Where do you
think the Mass Effect series and Bioware in General are going to go
next? Fully fledged RPG or the strange RPG Arcade Shooter/Slash n
Dash Hybrid that has recently come to gaming?
