Also I think their concerns are 100% valid, especially after they see what Ceberus did to their other soldiers on Mars. Why wouldn't they think Ceberus put some sort of chip into you that they'd activate when they needed you.

And, seriously? The only way I can imagine someone not taking that renegade interrupt in a heartbeat is if they're away from the screen taking a whiz during the cutscene. Udina's been a dead man walking since the first game, ME3 is just the first time you're given an excuse.
How or when does Ashley ever save Liara?
